A 38-year-old man was arrested after he attempted to rob two policemen in Soweto, Gauteng police said on Thursday.
Spokesperson Inspector Kay Makhubela two men, one armed with a gun, approached two policemen in Zondi, Soweto, on Wednesday night. The policemen were not wearing uniform.
Makhubela said the firearm was pointed at the policemen. However, a struggle broke out and the policemen managed to get the gun from the man, who was then arrested.
His accomplice ran away. – Sapa
