Here is a completely bizarre TvNews story from eTV in South Africa. This happened in Creighton, KwaZulu-Natal.

I have tried to reproduce, in a simple form, the story as it appeared on Tv News.

This woman’s daughter (Dudu) came to her and told her she was pregnant.

It appears the daughter then, voluntarily confined herself mostly in doors to hide this (fake) pregnancy.

Towards the end of her “pregnancy” one of the kittens, of this cat, which belonged to a neighbour then disappeared.

Here are the neighbour’s children playing with the cat.

Here is the mother again. She said her daughter then “went into labour”, and the next thing she saw was this strange “thing” which had come out of her daughter. She told her daughter that this was definitely not human!

Her daughter was then rushed by ambulance to this hospital.

This is the neighbour whose kitten disappeared. Then eventually all the pieces began to fall into place. The neighbour, below, discovered the pelt of the kitten who had disappeared, was in Dudu’s room. They realised that the woman had stolen the kitten, killed it, skinned it and then boiled it in the hope of fooling everyone that it was a “baby” that she had given birth to. The story was brief, so they did not flesh out all the details, but it appears the woman even tried to fake “giving birth”. Exactly how, I do not know. Or maybe she just produced the boiled, skinned kitten and said “I’ve just given birth to this…”… Anyhow, the daughter has now disappeared – she has run away and nobody knows where she is.

The pervading theory is that she faked the whole pregnancy in order to keep her boyfriend. When they find her, she will be up on charges of cruelty to animals. The neighbour was not happy at all with what had happened to the kitten.
