[I stumbled upon these ancient photos from 1875 showing a Zulu warrior and also the Zulu King Cetshwayo. It was Cetshwayo who was building up an army which had the British so worried and that they tried a pre-emptive attack on the Zulus. But the Zulus actually surprised the British and slaughtered 2,000 of them. Anyway, these are really neat photos from then. And don’t be fooled by the Zulu regalia, they were the deadliest black army tribal army Africa has ever known. Jan]
