S.Africa: Taxi War: Black man dies in hail of AK47 bullets

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: Taxi War: Black man dies in hail of AK47 bullets

Feuding over the lucrative Inanda taxi route is escalating and becoming more bloody as police on Monday said that 23 cartridge cases from an AK-47 were found at the latest killing.

The latest casualty was Bongani Mvundla, 38, who was found dead on Sunday in his BMW in Newtown A, Inanda.

Mvundla’s death follows that of Nkosinomusa “Nyosi” Mkhize, who was gunned down in the same manner on Friday.

Mkhize was leading peace talks between the Ndwedwe District and Ndwedwe/Qadi Taxi Associations that had been fighting over who would transport Shembe church followers from Ebuhleni village, in Inanda, to and from their annual winter pilgrimage.

Mkhize was killed after an agreement had been reached that the associations would share the transportation of the Shembe church members.

The KwaZulu-Natal Transport Alliance (KZNTA) has condemned the recent spate of violent attacks.

Eugene Hadebe, chairperson of the KZNTA, said: “We do not believe in the fact that violence solves issues because it does not. Instead it makes matters worse.”

“The associations that are fighting are still faced with the same problems that are affecting our industry, so it is clear that violence will not help.”

Police Captain Jabulani Zuma said that murder cases had been opened but they had not established whether Mvundla’s murder was related to the dispute between the taxi associations.

Hadebe said that main reason for the ongoing violence in the province was that fact that the registration of taxi associations and their members was incomplete.

He said that many taxi associations were being allocated routes which had already been assigned to other associations.

“This is what we have been fighting for with the registrar’s office in Pietermaritzburg – the issuing of permits to legitimate associations,’ he said.

The Alliance said that as a result, non-members were creeping into the industry and taking work from the registered associations. – Daily News Reporters
