A friend of mine overseas has done a really amazing job of looking after both his parents. I doubt you’ll find a more committed son in the world. His father is almost a 100 years old and his mother, in her 90’s passed away the other day.
As I write, my friend had to rush his father to hospital. I fear that both his parents will pass away so close together.
Their family were very close.
My friend told us about his mother and what sort of person she was:-

It is clear to me that all three of us were blessed with mothers
who were very special souls. I know Jan’s mother was one of a
kind. I think you would have really appreciated my mother alot.
She absolutely hated fakes and phonies with a passion, and was
only her true self at all times and places. She had no respect for
anyone, regardless of their prestige or wealth, if they were not
real, not decent human beings, and not working actively with all
they had to benefit others, to speak out for the truth. She never
backed down from a fight with ANYONE. She stood her ground,
and she lived by her principles and values. She loved people who
were simple and warm, no matter who they were. And oh God did
she hate, and I mean absolutely detest, liberals and leftists and
conspirators! And another thing. In my entire life I never saw the
slightest expression or even passing moment of fear in her. She
feared absolutely nothing, and no one. All she feared was Almighty
God, and that’s it. Just complete and total truth, all the time. My
brother can tell you the same. He never saw her even come close to
experiencing any fear whatsoever. She was a real light, and I think
you would have really loved her.
