Today while my friend and I were driving around Orania we observed whites going about their work including doing all their own manual labour.
I observed 2 supermarkets in Orania where blacks go when they travel through the town. A road runs through the centre of town and blacks can travel freely into and out of Orania.
Orania is a quiet place. The 730 whites who live here go about their business quietly and without making any ruckus. The place is clean and well ordered.
I saw one place where a supermarket and liquor store were next to each other which was frequented by a lot of blacks. This seemed to be the most popular location in Orania for blacks.
Then along the main road I saw a petrol station and supermarket where travellers sometimes stopped. I observed a white car with 3 blacks with their soccer clothing on and each had a vuvuzela (plastic trumpet). Vuvuzelas make a hell of a racket.
I watched as one black man got out of the car with his vuvuzela and walked towards the Orania OK bazaar while starting to blow his vuvuzela very loudly in the prescence of the whites. None of the whites said anything. Nor did they gesture nor indicate any kind of discontent. The black man stood and blew his vuvuzela near the store entrance then he went in, bought some items and left. The whites treated him as they did anyone else.
The other two in the car got out and started blowing their vuvuzelas making a similar racket. The whites just ignored them and carried on with their business. Then the 3 blacks got in their car and left… and complete quiet returned once more to the scene.
The Mass Media will tell you that Orania is full of these racist Apartheid whites who have their own Apartheid going there and who hate blacks, but I observed the blacks doing as they pleased and the whites treated them with respect and ignored their bad manners. The whites just smiled and carried on with their business.
