I spotted this gem while still learning how to use my TV card.
I have been telling people outside Africa for a long time that in Africa, DESPITE ALL THE RHETORIC ABOUT WOMEN’S RIGHTS WHICH YOU WILL HEAR FROM THE MOUTHS OF BLACK AFRICAN POLITICIANS – black women are actually treated as sex objects in ways which would stagger people in the first world.
I mentioned years ago that even in relatively civilised black countries like Botswana, that it was often expected that the women must, as part of their job description, sleep with their bosses.
You will hear the ANC, and Mbeki talking about putting women all over Government… but… one wonders… also… how much sex is involved in all this.
The original story was about protests by black people in the township of Soshanguve about poor service delivery by the ANC.

Here is an image from one of the close-ups. Look at the placard one of the protesters has. It reads: “Down with Sex for jobs”. Since the whole problem also relates to poor ANC service delivery, I can’t help but wonder whether the “sex for jobs” is also an internal ANC problem?? But clearly this is a big issue bothering black women – though one never hears anyone talking about it in public.
