I am keeping an eye open for good photos from Zimbabwe. These photos also show what a rotten state Harare, the capital city, is in.
The Local Govt Minister, Mr Chombo, talking about the cholera outbreak.
The cause of the cholera outbreak is that the garbage isn’t being collected. Sewage is also in the streets.
I can’t believe this is Harare. The place looks pretty miserable in the photos below.
I had to laugh. Look at the dilapidated state of the garbage trucks. They’re not even real garbage trucks, but old tipper trucks which they use for garbage collection. Apparently the Government doesn’t have enough money to repair these trucks. (I giggle – this is the result of Mugabe’s policies).
This is one of the hospitals where the cholera sufferers are being treated.
