I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

A Dullstroom man who shot his wife four times was on Wednesday convicted of her murder.
Acting Judge Chris Eksteen rejected as “a fable” claims by Johan Riekert, 43, that he could not remember shooting his wife.
He said Riekert was a blatant liar and had contradicted himself on so many aspects that the court could not believe a word he said.
Riekert was found guilty of premeditated murder following the March 2007 shooting of his wife, Riekie, at a trout shop in Dullstroom.
Eksteen said it was clear Riekert had a tendency to put the blame on anyone but himself.
Riekert had threatened to shoot his wife before and clearly had an obsession to prevent his wife from divorcing him at any cost.
At that stage, Riekert was unemployed, made no attempt at securing an income, and his wife was the only breadwinner.
After harassing his wife with phone calls and text messages, he went to the store that day with suppressed feelings of aggression and anger.
He waited outside for a long time before entering the shop with a firearm to convince his wife not to divorce him.
An argument and physical altercation ensued and Riekert fired numerous shots at his wife, fatally wounding her.
After she fell out of a window onto the porch in front of the shop he walked up to her and fired another shot at her before disappearing from the scene.
He rejected Riekert’s claims that his wife must have shot him in the shoulder inside the shop and that he had left the scene because he believed he was going to die.
The judge said none of the witnesses at the scene had seen blood or any injuries on Riekert.
Riekert had not sought help either for his wife, whom he claimed to love so much, or for himself as one would have expected.
Instead, he left the scene in a hurry and disappeared for three hours before contacting his mother.
The hearing continues on Thursday. – Sapa
