I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Pretoria – An eviction order against a petrol-station owner in Mamelodi, east of Pretoria, on Wednesday almost ended in chaos when the family and workers threatened to burn down the establishment.

Members of the Tshwane emergency services, Mamelodi police and the area’s crime prevention unit acted quickly and encircled the petrol station after petrol was siphoned out of tanks and allowed to flood the driveway.

The business has been run by the Ndlazi family for some time, but they were served with an eviction order on Wednesday.

Lawyers hastily tried to appeal against the order. However, when negotiations between the bailiff and the owners reached a deadlock, upset workers and Ndlazi family members filled a black dustbin with petrol and flooded the driveway.

Fears mounted because the underground tanks contained petrol and any fire would have led to an enormous explosion.

Claims station was sold without their approval

“We are prepared to die with the filling station,” said Makhehla Simelane, an administrator at the petrol station.

He said they were not prepared to pay a bribe for the petrol station and would burn it down.

A family member claims the petrol station was sold without their approval and a developer for a new centre was behind the order.

He claims the developer has to buy them a piece of ground for a filling station.
