Killer describes mother’s death

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Hugs and handshakes went around a packed court gallery as friends and family of slain mother Michelle Murison received some closure after her death.

About 50 people turned out to support Kevin Liddell, Murison’s life partner, at the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Wednesday as the man responsible for her brutal murder pleaded guilty.

Mbongiseni Martin Zondi, 26, admitted to stabbing Murison 22 times with two kitchen knives and hitting her over the head with a hammer, before stealing her car to escape.

Murison was killed in her home in Armstrong Drive, Wembley, on February 6.

Her baby daughter was in the home at the time and was found crawling in her mother’s blood.

Zondi was sentenced to 25 years for the murder and five years for theft. His non-parole period was fixed at 20 years.

Murison’s relatives and friends of listened intently as the contents of Zondi’s plea were read out in court.

Zondi explained that he had worked for Liddell for five years as an assistant at his sound company, as well as a general labourer around Liddell and Murison’s home.

He said he shared a close relationship with both Liddell and Murison, but said he was very unhappy with his salary and working conditions.

He said when he attempted to discuss the matter with Liddell, he was ignored.

On the day of the murder, Zondi said Liddell had allowed him to leave work early because he had a headache.

Liddell, on that night, had to work at the Golden Horse Casino organising a function.

Knowing this, Zondi said he decided to go to Murison’s home to discuss his salary issue with her.

“I knew she would be alone and I wanted to plead with her to talk to Liddell on my behalf,” he said.

Zondi said that when he got to the house, Murison let him in. “She left the baby in another part of the house and returned to the kitchen to talk to me,” he said.

An argument began and Zondi alleges that Murison slapped him.

“I retaliated and grabbed a knife off the draining board and stabbed her repeatedly. I then struck her over the head with a hammer that I got from the window sill,” he said.

Because Zondi’s clothes had been bloodstained, he decided to steal Murison’s car to escape.

Burn

He abandoned the car on a dirt road and then walked to his home, where he asked his sister to burn his clothes.

Zondi handed himself over to police the next day.

In mitigation of sentence, Zondi said he was still shocked and confused by his actions and could not believe he had done it.

However, when questioned by Judge Shyam Gyanda as to why he had retaliated so aggressively towards Murison, or what he had done to her to make her slap him, Zondi remained tight-lipped.

The State, in aggravation of sentence, described the attack on Murison as vicious.

During the hard-hitting judgment, Judge Gyanda said: “Nothing you said justified your actions. You robbed a young woman of her life in her prime.”

To make matters worse, Murison was attacked in the sanctity of her own home. Gyanda said a further aggravation was that Zondi had bitten the hand that fed him.

Liddell said the family was satisfied that justice had been done. “Nothing can bring Michelle back and the pain of her loss still cuts very deep, but we have some closure out of this,” he said.
