I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

A Lavender Hill man has told the Cape High Court how he was told to rape 19-year-old business college student and Diep River waitress Vicky McLachlan in 2003 after he and three men had hijacked her in Retreat.
Moments later, he tried to convince the alleged leader of the group that it was not necessary to kill her, the court heard, but she was eventually dragged into bushes in Philippi and shot dead.
Eventually his conscience got the better of him and he confided in a friend, then decided to tell the police.
Rashaad Square says he is still battling to grasp the fact that he and his friends became involved in such a crime.
Square is serving 22 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to his involvement in the crime.
Now he is testifying against the three men with whom he formerly shared the dock – Mogammat Gafoor, Jonathan Fortune and Johannes Petersen.
The men have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, robbery, hijacking, rape, indecent assault and the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
Square has been in the witness stand since Monday and was cross-examined by defence counsel Nehemiah Ballem on Wednesday. He said Gafoor, who allegedly gave the rest of the group orders, suggested they find someone to rob.
Square said they stood at a stop street in Fifth Avenue, Retreat, and waited. McLachlan then arrived and dropped someone at a house in the area.
They hid behind a wall while she turned the car around and drove back towards the stop street. As she came to a stop, Gafoor jumped in front of her and called for the others to follow him.
McLachlan was in tears and begged them not to hurt her, Square said, but they took her to a farm area in Philippi, where she was raped and killed.
They later sold some of her possessions and set her car alight, he said.
Gafoor threatened to have them killed if they spoke about what had happened, but Square said it bothered him and he decided to confide in a friend.
He eventually went to the police and showed them where they could find McLachlan’s body.
The trial continues.
