Cape Town – A 15-year-old youth has been arrested and charged with murder after a man was attacked with a saw during a drinking session.
The two were drinking at a farm near Riversdale, said Western Cape police on Sunday.
Spokesperson Malcolm Pojie said the teenager and the 45-year-old had a quarrel while drinking on Saturday night.
“The teen attacked the man with a saw, inflicting serious wounds to his head. The man was found at 08:00 still breathing and was taken to hospital.”
The man – Moss Joseph – died in hospital at noon on Sunday.
The youth was arrested and charged with murder.
He is due to appear in Riversdale Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
