Johannesburg metro police arrested two men on Thursday evening who were transporting almost 20 refuse bags filled with dagga.
Inspector Edna Mamonyane said police chased the men travelling in a Toyota Corolla, after they sped off from a road block along Abel and Joe Slovo Roads in Johannesburg.
They were then cornered on Raleigh Street. Police found bags filled with dagga inside the car and the boot.
The men were arrested and taken to Hillbrow police station.
Mamonyane said police were still weighing the bags of dagga. – Sapa
