The Imminent Zimbabwe Coup against Mugabe according to Van Zyl Slabbert

Hi Jan,
According to Van Zyl Slabbert, Zimbabwe is facing an imminent coup. The army have not been paid for a couple of months and the generals are mobilizing. Slabbert also said that the recent ATM explosions were likely caused by Zim army personnel. (obviously down here for some affirmative shopping, taking advantage of our serverely depleted SAP’s)

Thanks for this. But I’d like to see more of what Van Zyl Slabbert wrote.

Personally, I wonder if Van Zyl Slabbert isn’t talking out of his ass – to be frank.

Nobody will be more shocked than me, to see Mugabe’s generals engaging in a coup. Mugabe has always been extremely careful in ensuring that “Politically Correct” (according to his definition) Army Officers rise. Also, he has given them land and many other things. Mugabe is no fool.

The only time I’d believe his Generals are plotting against him is if the CIA or MI6 somehow managed to pay one of them off.

But I am also very doubtful when a man like Van Zyl Slabbert openly states that the Generals are mobilising now. Hmmm… I’m skeptical…

re: Who is blowing up our ATMS?
Zimbabwean Army? Our ATMs are being blown up with commercial explosives obtained from our mines. Our own criminals no doubt have easier access to commercial explosives than the Zimbabwe army would.

Furthermore, when Mugabe was busy blowing up newspapers’ offices in Zim, they used standard Zimbabwe army explosives. So why wouldn’t they be using such explosives in S.Africa if they were blowing up ATMs?

I sit and think of the (former Professor) Van Zyl Slabbert’s pronouncements and I think he is serving (once more) as an EXCUSE FOR THE ANC. My money is on the fact that he’s talking out of his crack and he’s spreading ANC BS propaganda. That’s my bet!
