[A regular writer on American Renaissance is actually a former American Liberal (Professor) who came to Africa about 30 years ago. When he arrived here he was totally deluded by the Liberal thinking prevalent in America. But living in Africa for 30 years taught him something totally different.

I posted a comment some time ago from a Zulu woman when PW Botha died. I mentioned that my mother said that in the 1920’s & 1930’s when she was a kid that whites and blacks in S.Africa got along pretty well. Below is a comment from the writer, Gedhalia – who lives in Johannesburg. When he first came to Africa he lived in Nigeria and later Kenya.

He is now VERY conservative. Africa turned him from being a Liberal Academic into a fully blown Conservative. He told me that in his view, White Liberals are to BLAME for the RACIAL PROBLEMS OF SOUTH AFRICA! I’m not talking about Africa in general, but SOUTH AFRICA in PARTICULAR! He says that there are so many White Liberals in this country and they are the reason blacks are so unhappy because they tell the blacks so much nonsense. They tell the blacks that they can have unachievable things – things which, if left to themselves they will never attain. White Liberals go and create unrealistic expectations in black minds and this then results in them taking race relations and making it 100 times worse – because now the blacks expect the impossible! And as we see across Africa they cannot achieve the many things THEY WERE LED TO BELIEVE THEY COULD. Heck, they can’t achieve SIMPLE THINGS, like feeding and housing themselves never mind all the bigger things the Communists and Liberals told them they could achieve. DeColonisation, to quite a degree, was not a black idea I might add. It was an idea thought up in Soviet Russia by Lenin and his buddies. But first the Communists, and later the Liberals, came and marketed all this unachievable “Liberation” to the blacks – and look what hell it unleashed?

In reading this piece I realized that your observations here about black-white relations in SA in days gone by coincides remarkably with my observations and experience, as an originally racially ignorant and unaware white liberal, arriving in Africa in 1976 (in Nigeria), viz., that absent liberal white influence, blacks deeply admire and respect whites, unashamedly recognize white superiority, and consequently, when the option presents itself (as in colonial and Apartheid Africa), are more than happy to accept white authority and rule. And I doubt very much that much has changed amongst the rank and file of ordinary Africans to this day. If this were not the case, it is hard to imagine how such a small number of whites could have kept control of SA for so long with what I believe to have been a relatively small police force.

I realize that you’ve been too busy to look at my book, but this unquestioned and unproblematic recognition by bladcks of white superiority is one of the major factual claims that I make there.
