The council is actually building a long perimeter fence a few Km in length to try to fence out the vagrants… but they ran out of money… and now the fence is half finished and already broken… blah… you know the same old nonsense. My neighbour wrote:-
Crime: the area behind us is a mess coz I think the vagrants sit in the reeds and watch the people coming and going. Then move in. 3 break-ins in one week a little while back. I wrote to the council to finish the fence. But there is a gate there that is supposed to be locked at nite by the residents. Now it™s not locked at all. I think it stopped due to bad communication.

She mentioned that Greenside™s crime went up 150% while Roosevelt™s crime was only up 4% – so the Greenside etc residents are up in arms and determined to do the same block watch or whatever thing that Lonehill did. But that means the crime may move this way! Grrr ha ha.
