The $1 donation idea, SMS’s and Monthly Competitions…

[I have been toying for a long time with the idea of asking foreign supporters of AfricanCrisis to donate $1. I’ve set it up above and you can click on the paypal donation button if you wish. What I am thinking of, is linking up the $1 donations with the SMS’s which come from cell phones inside S.Africa. I must just think through how I’m going to do this technically… But what I’m toying with is the idea of having a monthly raffle with either one, or several winners who are picked from the donors to AfricanCrisis. But, I may want to take it even further by using it as a way of promoting other authors by putting some of their goods up as prizes… and then giving them a portion of the proceeds to AfricanCrisis for that month.
