[Folks, a contact of mine told me that he has heard that Cyril Ramaphosa will stand against Jacob Zuma for the presidency of the ANC next year!

Now… unfortunately, my contact really does not want me to give too much away about how he knows this… Apparently the real worry is that Jacob Zuma will win, and they need a strong leader to stand against Zuma – and Ramaphosa is going to be the one.

Yesterday, President Mbeki was booed thoroughly when he was in KwaZulu-Natal with Jacob Zuma. It was so bad (I saw TV footage), that Zuma had to tell the crowd to quieten down and give “comrade-President” Mbeki a chance to speak!!! Mbeki is not popular, especially among the Zulus.

Now… the Ramaphosa thing is interesting. Liberals apparently are very EXCITED over Ramaphosa but you will recall that in 2001, General Tienie Groenewald, ex-Military Intelligence, told me that Ramaphosa is a COMMUNIST in businessman’s clothing AND that the US Govt is in love with him because they think he’s a capitalist.

But other older readers of AfricanCrisis will recall some years back when Ramaphosa told whites in S.Africa to start “sharing with the blacks” or else…

So in my view, Ramaphosa may be partially “moderated” by the CIA, and may be thoroughly courted by the Americans and British behind the scenes… but in his heart… he’s a commie… and he’s gonna be nailing us – while wearing a suit and tie, and looking oh so cultured! So I would suspect that Ramaphosa will be a Jacob Zuma with a suit-and-tie… and perhaps he might not take us down the Zuma road as fast… but I think in some ways… we might just miss racist old Mbeki a bit!!

The fact is… like I say… the LIBERALS… think Ramaphosa is a STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION – but I’m not so sure. I think the LIBERALS are ON THEIR WAY OUT OF SOUTH AFRICAN POLITICS! I’m not ignoring what General Groenewald told me. I think others from ex-Military Intelligence will probably agree with the assessment.

Now… Ramaphosa is more popular than anyone excepting for Mandela… so that also makes Ramaphosa a dangerous fellow. He could unite all the blacks and start the movement and they will blindly follow their new saint.

I suspect, that as always… it will be done legally, by tightening those laws and grinding us.

Anyhow… let’s watch… perhaps Ramaphosa is the CIA/MI6 answer to Jacob Zuma… but whether it will be much better… is, in my mind, doubtful.

You know how things go… excitement, anticipation… and then after a time… reality sets in… people realise that the ANC is a dinosaur with one agenda… and that agenda doesn’t vary much except sometimes its in first gear, other times in second or third gear… but the direction and results remain the same as the ANC dutifully steers this country towards the trash heap!!

So I’m a believer that we must not fool ourselves into being hopeful that Ramaphosa will be any different really to the rubbish we’ve seen. If General Groenewald is correct and Ramaphosa is a real commie scumbag… then maybe we will be fast heading into troubled waters.

The fact that he is closely associated with the Americans… makes me think some CIA “moderation” will come into play.

Just today, I read in Al Venter’s book about how the Americans threatened Nelson Mandela with SANCTIONS – yes SANCTIONS – when he was the President! But nobody heard about it because these things happen quietly behind closed doors. But it is in Al’s book. So keep in mind… that there is SOME “moderation” going on from the CIA to try to keep the ANC from being themselves and just taking this country straight on to the scrap heap. So maybe Ramaphosa won’t quite be as bad as Zuma would have been… but… I don’t expect him to be any better than Mbeki. Much as I dislike Mbeki, and always have, it could be that Mbeki is actually the best of the whole lot of rubbish the ANC parade as their top leadership. Jan]
