Today a very strange story took place which was not stated in its full importance.

You will recall that the Mass Media has been rife with speculation and evidence that our top cop, our Police Commissioner who heads our entire national Police force and who also runs Interpol (can you fricking believe?), has organised crime links.

They’ve mentioned specific criminals. Furthermore, it now comes out that that they reckon our Police commissioner has been taking bribes from DRUG DEALERS!

So a strange event occurred. Many Religious leaders got together as a GROUP and went to see the President! They asked President Mbeki to please investigate Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi. Clearly, they feel something of enormous importance is being glossed over.

But Mr Mbeki, who drew his gun so fast and couldn’t wait to fire it at Jacob Zuma, has a strangely lame trigger finger when it comes to his buddy Jackie Selebi.

Mr Mbeki told the religious leaders that he is happy with Mr Selebi and that he sees no reason to investigate this further. He said he has every faith in Selebi’s ability to protect us! (Oh really? Well we flipping sure as hell don’t!) So the Religious leaders couldn’t say much. They were a multiracial group I might add – apparently representative of many religions. So in the end, they quietly accepted our President’s word. They did not want to call the President a liar in public!!

Dear Mr Mbeki seems to have staked his confidence in Selebi. But Selebi is avoiding journalists, etc. So what’s up?

Is Mr Mbeki merely covering for his old chum Selebi? Is he deliberately turning a blind eye? Is he too much of a fool to take this further? Would other nastiness come out of this hideous story if it unfurls?

But what if there is overwhelming evidence that Selebi is scumbag? What if, the rot inside our Police force starts at THE TOP!? The journalists seem to be hot on the trail of serious stuff here and the main news organisations are digging deeply. So what happens if they uncover enough dirt to bring Selebi down? What then? Won’t that make Mbeki look like a complete fool? Or even show him to be COMPLICIT in some of this underhanded dirtiness?

What if… it turns out that Mr Squeaky Clean Mbeki is just as filthy and dirty, if not more so than Mr Communist-scumbag-Jacob-Zuma?

Who is dirtier than whom?

I would tend to hedge my bets that our Dear President has, knowingly or unknowingly, lied to our Religious Leaders and that one day, this will come back to haunt him. His assurances may be false.

Nevertheless, this is a very serious and deep CRISIS which is unfurling here. I wonder what the real story is behind this?

Selebi reckons that this story comes from a SOURCE… a SOURCE he knows. (Does anyone know who this source is? Has any newspaper mentioned it?)

Could it be, that someone has broken the ranks… and decided to sink Mr Selebi… could this sink Mr Mbeki too? Could this be part of the war between Mbeki and Zuma?

Do we have something BIGGER here than Shabir Shaik and Jacob Zuma? Is there an internal WAR and now, since everyone in the ANC/SACP/Tri-Partite Alliance is a crook of some type or other… is it perhaps that some insider is hitting back… and trying to take down Selebi? Or is it bigger? Could a bigger fish, like President Mbeki also end up being fried? Could that be the ultimate purpose of the game? Remember how Shabir Shaik was used to sink Zuma. Could Selebi be used to sink Mbeki? (I am speculating wildly now).

This is becoming a really fascinating story to watch folks. Let’s see what happens. Jan.
