Norman Reeves, who has been running Combat Security for 25 years, has been arrested. He is ex-British Army, ex-Rhodesian Army and ex-S.African army. His company, Combat Security, is run along military lines. Most of his security guards are black and they are trained using military techniques. They are absolutely kick-ass crime fighters.

But our criminal-loving, crime-loving Govt and crime-loving Police force are on his case. Take note, the Chief of S.Africa’s National Police force is himself being investigated for being involved in Organised crime! I have mentioned the rumours of him being involved in crime – quite a long time back. Now he’s being investigated. The newspapers are bringing out huge stories suggesting that the chief of our national police force, Jackie Selebi may be going DOWN!

I loved some of the news headlines about him. Some were very humorous, like: “Jackie in the box” and “Cop on the block”.

The bottom line is, our Police force appears itself to be a part of the CRIME PROBLEM. But, along comes a private security company which is doing unbelievable work and… they jump all over their case for so-called human rights violations of our CRIMINALS! Yes, our system LOVES CRIMINALS and HATES PEOPLE WHO GET RID OF THEM!

Remember, if you have a firearm and a criminal shoots at you or tries to kill you and you shoot him dead – YOU will be charged with MURDER! Yes! Then you have to prove that you had no choice but to shoot him dead and that YOU did not use “excessive force”. Of course, criminal can come and BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT and go to jail for life and be back on the streets in 15 years or less!! Our laws FAVOUR CRIMINALS. This should not surprise anyone because our law-makers are themselves former TERRORISTS, MURDERERS and CRIMINALS themselves! So what do you expect? They’ve turned the law on its head!

In our country, murderers are running free. Heck they open the jails and let thousands of criminals go FREE each month, well ahead of their sentences. But its the crime fighter who is the one who is now in trouble.

Remember these photos? I posted many of these and their accompanying stories on AfricanCrisis. To my knowledge, AfricanCrisis is the ONLY website that ever published these stories. Norman got into big trouble for this. All he did was catch criminals and then handcuff them to a lamppost while “awarding them a medal” (an A4 piece of paper with the words, “I am a thief caught by Combat”). He didn’t beat them up. The PUBLIC in Durban *LOVED IT*. They enjoyed it. People are sick to death of crime. But… our Crime-Loving Govt and Crime-loving Police force treated Norman as if he were the #1 criminal himself. Human Rights groups did not like this little show he was putting on. Everyone was jumping on his case.

eTV interviewed him. The Police came and arrested him. He is out on R4,000 bail. His crime? Apparently, in his huge security firm he has 2 unlicensed firearms. He was also charged with something to do with issuing a firearm without ammunition (???) – which did not make sense to me. Norman says the 2 firearms were faulty and were being repaired. Then the other charge is that he is employing illegal immigrants. Reeves says he is employing Angolans who were part of the LEGENDARY 32 battalion which fought on the side of the S.African Army in Angola against the Cubans and Russians. According to eTV, the Police believe they have a water-tight case against Reeves.

In my view, these trivialities that they’re using to nail him with is a Mugabe-like type of harrassment intended to damage his business and break it down. His company is very big. I think he employs over 1,000 security guards and has a very large number of armoured vehicles too. I think they don’t like what he’s doing and they are trying to find any excuse, no matter how pathetic to take Norman Reeves and Combat Security DOWN and to break them. I urge people to support Norman, and I’m thinking of seeing if it is possible for us to set up a mechanism for people to contribute to Norman’s legal costs in a small way.

Norman has always been extremely supportive of AfricanCrisis. Indeed, my first contact with Norman occurred many months back when he said to me that if ever my life was under threat, he would be more than happy to assign someone to guard me! Isn’t that a fantastic gesture? Well, I’ve never taken Norman up on his kind offer, but I was deeply touched by it. His company has branches all across S.Africa and I urge people to support him. We put out some amazing stories about the things his company did some months back until the Govt, Human Rights groups and Mass Media jumped so much over his case that he could no longer send me photos and stories of what his security guards were doing. He is COMBATTING CRIME EFFECTIVELY and the political left DO NOT LIKE IT AT ALL. They want us to be MURDERED IN OUR BEDS!

These appear to be the two illegal weapons they’re jumping all over his case for – and yet he has hundreds (if not thousands) of other LEGAL weapons!!

Norman told eTV that he will sue the Govt for wrongful arrest!
