Earlier this year many of you will remember the photos and stories I put up about the most kick-ass security company in S.Africa: Combat Security. I published a number of stories of the excellent work which Norman Reeves and his people do. Norman also sent, exclusively to AfricanCrisis, photographs of thieves they caught and put a “medal” on (“I am a thief caught by combat security). The public in Durban LOVED this.

As I have said, journalists, ANC-scum and all sorts trawl this website and so this soon reached “human rights activists” and others, and then the attacks on Norman Reeves and his excellent company, which has been in the business for 25 years, began. eTV even showed these same photos which I put on this website and which, to my knowledge have only ever appeared on this website. (But typically nobody gives us credit for anything hey?).

But the Govt is just not leaving Norman Reeves alone.

I don’t have any paying advertisers here at AfricanCrisis – all the ads you see up there are for free. I decided to set up a little ad on my home page especially for Combat Security, and you can click through to their website. PLEASE SUPPORT COMBAT SECURITY AND PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THEM.

No doubt, the powers that be wish to break Combat Security and Norman Reeves. So for what little it is worth, they have my backing, and I urge you to tell others about them. Some of our readers did contact Combat and were very pleased with them. We need to stand behind these people as much as we possibly can.

Norman Reeves is ex-British Army, ex-Rhodesian Army and ex-S.African Army. He uses tried and tested military principles and teaches his largely black security staff these techniques and they KICK ASS. His staff even include black soldiers from the LEGENDARY 32 Battalion which did unbelievable and sterling work fighting communists in Angola. They keep people safe in their beds at night and they even catch criminals and follow them PRIOR to them breaking into people’s homes!!

Of course, if Combat Security became HUGE they would be sorting out crime all across this country in no time at all. But it appears to me the powers that be want to TAKE THEM DOWN. However, I urge people to support them.

As far as I’m concerned, Norman Reeves is the No 1 CRIME FIGHTER IN THIS COUNTRY and he and his company are doing far more than our useless corrupt Police service ever would. Our crime-loving Government don’t WANT private security companies to succeed in the fight against crime and so now they attack those who are smashing crime!

Norman, I wish I could support you even more buddy. But for what its worth, here is my little contribution. Keep up the excellent work.

Folks, I am going to make a bizarre suggestion and raise it with someone who can support me. I am going to suggest that we go one step further. I’m going to ask a friend of mine to set up a cell phone number where people can donate money to Norman Reeves as a gesture of their support. The idea of SMS donations (like Neil Watson’s CrimeExpo uses), is something that has been suggested to me for quite some time, and perhaps its time to institute it because of these law suits and the harrassment which Norman is experiencing. You never know when AfricanCrisis’s turn will come too! I’m going to talk to the company involved and see if they’re game for it, and I will test it with Norman. If the Govt is going to harrass him, then maybe the least I can do is allow him to get a few rands of support directly from AfricanCrisis readers. I will investigate it and let you know.

I’ve just been out of the loop a bit with a nasty throat infection and I was in bed trying to recover as fast as I can. I think I’ve been overdoing things a bit.

I wish AfricanCrisis had more power so that we could stand firmly behind some people and really help make a stand for the things that matter. But I’ll do everything I can to support our friends, if not financially, then at least morally and in spirit. Jan.
