[I am looking for a map and I just can’t find the bloody thing! I’ve looked and looked and looked. After my discussion with PW Botha I went and browsed through my very tattered copy of THE SUPER AFRIKANERS, and I’m looking for a map.

Some time, in the distant past, when I first came to this country, I read part of THE SUPER AFRIKANERS because it was at one time a best-seller… yet these days when I mention it, nobody else seems to know about it or seems to have heard of it! Maybe I’m living in my own time warp!

But worse still… I could SWEAR that inside that book was a map… a map of the “White Country” the whites under Apartheid were willing to reserve for themselves… in the Cape. I have scrutinised my tattered copy and be darned if I can find the bloody map.

Perhaps I saw it in another book. But I have seen a map, which showed the distribution of whites in this country, along with the country which ultimately was going to be reserved for them. I could have sworn it was in this book. But dammit… nothing. So where the hell did I see this map? I think this was from my early readings when I first came to this country in the 1980’s… and now I can’t remember. Grrrrr. How infuriating.

Has anyone ever seen such a map in their readings?? Jan]
