PW Botha phoned me the other day to discuss an article I had put up by a member of the AfrikanerBond. This same gentleman had been a member of the Broederbond in the past. The Broederbond changed to include other races, and it changed its name to the AfrikanerBond. The gentleman had thought that with white former Broederbond members joining the ANC that they could have an influence inside the ANC. But instead, they failed.

So PW Botha phoned me to discuss the Broederbond.

He told me that in his view one of the best books ever written about the Broederbond was an Afrikaans book called “Die Broederbond”, written by a Professor Pelser.

He told me that another excellent source of information on the Broederbond was a one-man commission appointed by the late Dr Verwoed. Dr Verwoed appointed an appeal court judge by the name of Botha (not related to PW Botha), to investigate them. Judge Botha then wrote a report on what he found.

PW told me that he had also been a member of the Broederbond but that he had resigned when they became the Afrikanerbond. He also said that he had never served the Broederbond in any capacity and had never been in their Inner circles.

I told PW Botha about a book I have called “The Super Afrikaners” and that it claimed the Broederbond had created the National Party and had ruled S.Africa secretly.

PW Botha did not know about this book and did not lend any credence to it. He told me that the National Party was in existence before the Broederbond was formed.
