Our Police are not able to combat crime, and yet, you see Police everywhere. These days they even have regular roadblocks all over Johannesburg, often during rush hours. It never ceases to amaze me that we can’t fight crime, and yet, you will see dozens of Police standing around, pulling cars off the road and wasting the time of civilians who are going about their work. I took these photos in downtown Johannesburg a few months back.
You can see our Metro Police taking their time doing little. They stand around in groups. I’ve seen many more than these just sitting around or standing around, not in any apparent hurry. Yet, our taxes are paying their salaries.
