These are the children and sister of Carlos Samba.
Carlos (34), was a self-employed welder. Some men accosted him and his brother and offered him a stolen DVD machine. He shouted at them, telling them, “I do not have the money!” He went inside his house. When he and his brother later drove out of his driveway, the men stopped them and pointed a pistol at Carlos. They told him they wanted at least R150 (US$21) for the DVD machine. But Carlos did not want to buy it because he thought it was stolen. They tried to open his door as he drove away and then they shot him in his upper body. He died and then crashed into a wall with his pickup truck. Apparently he was something of a Good Samaritan in his community. This photo below is of Carlos Samba.
