[WARNING, WARNING, WARNING: If you’re looking for a quick trip to JAIL… then this is one sure-fire way of getting there.

I want to show people a message I received on 23rd March 2006. This was posted on my website, but I just ignored it. I don’t respond to rubbish like this. Below that is an email from someone else who is on my mailing lists, and I don’t know how this person was contacted, but he is now getting weird emails from this “Rhodesian” group/person.

I did try to trace the IP address of the original poster, and it actually came up blank… like it did not exist… I asked a friend with an intelligence background, and more experience in this, and he tracked it back to the USA.

I will not even give out the email address from which this originally originated because I regard this as a very dangerous thing to do. People should not even be communicating or speaking to the persons behind this.

This person/people claim this and claim that… Forget it.

I’ve had a look at this, and I’m telling you all, this is exactly the kind of thing I made rules AGAINST. This same lot wanted to get into my forums and I just ignored them.

I want to warn you all, if anyone engages in this kind of talk in my forums, I will ban each and every one of you from the forums without further discussion.

There is a law in this country about engaging in military activities in other countries. As a South African, you can go to jail for this.

So who is this?

Well, many things are quite apparent when reading this email below. But I am not going to make any comments about what I see or read into this. It would be stupid to give them ideas on how to improve their tricks next time.

One thing they want is feedback. My advice is not to respond, communicate or discuss anything with them further.

As for the possibility of any real military activity… well… it wouldn’t happen like this I can assure you.

This all smells of one thing: Entrapment. This is either: Someone having fun … but I think there’s more to it than that. This is serious… this is someone fishing for fools and idiots who can be lured into something… and this could end up resulting in people going to jail.

I am going to put this up, and spread this around, and I will warn people, one last time, if I come across this kind of talk in my forums, I’m banning each and every person who took part in this discussion – in double-quick time.

I also will NOT put any further messages from these people on my website. They can go and waste someone else’s time and space. I am not interested in promoting this any further. I am only putting this up as a warning to people to stay away from this lot, and to warn your friends to stay away from this lot. Do not even reply or respond to them.

This appears to me to be Intelligence people who are on a fishing expedition looking for fools and looking for people to lure into a trap, and to bring their friends along with them.

This could originate from anywhere. It could even be the CIA, it could even be Mugabe’s CIO… In fact, I would not be surprised if that is who you are really dealing with. They could be fishing for some fools who could be portrayed as being part of a “Rhodesian Conspiracy” to “overthrow Mugabe”. Let us NOT go there… Give them NOTHING.

Any further posts/emails regarding this lot will be ignored. I am not going to promote or post any of their nonsense. I am putting this up as a warning to everyone to stay away from this. Jan]

Rhodesian Liberation Army (RLA)

Those of you receiving this information have expressed interest in
working to rescue Rhodesia from the illegal regime of ZANU PF, led by
the Marxist terrorist Robert Mugabe. I would like to personally thank
all of you for your offers of support. I will now give you a brief
outline of the organization I am trying to create, what this
organization will attempt to do, and how we will go about doing it.

The name I have chosen for this organization is the Rhodesian
Liberation Army (RLA). As with most of the details provided below,
the name is not set in stone. If any of you have a problem with the
name, or would like to suggest another, please let me know. All
suggestions are welcome. I am not “in charge” of this organization in
the sense that just because I have an idea does not mean we have to
use it. We will all work together and come up with solutions we can
all agree on.

I must inform you all up front that this is not a letter-writing
campaign or a civil disobedience group. I wish we could settle the
problem at hand with peaceful methods, but anyone who is not going
through denial knows peace is not the solution in this situation.
Mugabe understands nothing but violence, so that is exactly what we
will give him.

If you are afraid of possibly getting your hands dirty then this
organization is not for you. This organization is for people who will
not accept the fact that our beloved nation has been raped and are
ready, willing, and able to work to solve the problem.

You are all wondering what we can do to save our great nation. I
will present to you my plans for action. As you read, keep in mind
that this is only a start and all comments and suggestions are
welcome.

The RLA will be organized into “task groups”.
Each task group will have a specific mission to accomplish and we will
all talk to each other and work together to complete the mission.
Each task group will play an important role in the organization and
help in the efforts to defeat the enemy. To give you a better
understand of what we will do, I will give a brief overview of each
task group.

Task Group White
Mission: Recruitment
Overview: To get this organization working effectively and
efficiently, we will need as many people on our side as we can get.
The mission of Task Group White is to find potential recruits anywhere
they can. I “recruited” you by searching Rhodesian and Zimbabwean
websites and assessing who I thought would likely have an interest in
the efforts of the RLA. TG White would use all resources available to
find people who want to help Rhodesia. The internet is an excellent
resource.

Also, classified advertisements could be placed in major newspapers in
the U.S, U.K, Australia, New Zealand, Canda, South Africa, Germany and
other places around the world to solicit individuals who wish to help.
As with the other task groups, the methods used to accomplish the
mission are at the discretion of the members of that task group.

Task Group Green
Mission: Enemy Military Capability Assessment
Overview: Reconnaisance is an important part of any war. We need
to know what we’re up against, the enemy’s strengths and weaknesses.
The job of TG Green is to collect information on the location of enemy
military installations, troop strength, and imporant equipment, such
as aircraft, artillery, tanks and so forth. Once again, the means by
which this information is collected are at the discretion of the
members of this particular task group.

Task Group Brown
Mission: High Value Target Elimination
Overview: TG Brown’s mission is to locate a mercenary sniper for
the purpose of eliminating Mugabe and high ranking members of ZANU PF.
As was previously stated, if you are afraid of getting your hands
dirty, the RLA is not for you. There are numerous reports of
snipers-for-hire being employed in places like Chechnya and Israel.
Some of these snipers are reportedly former members of the Irish
Republican Army, some of them come from other organizations, and some
are simply freelance proffessional soldiers. Although it is a less
desirable option, organized crime may be able to provide snipers as
well. This is a difficult mission, but we all know there are no easy
solutions to the problem at hand. TG Brown would attempt to locate a
proffessional sniper and ascertain what their conditions of service
and payment would be.

Task Group Yellow
Mission: Disrupt Enemy Supplies and Personnel
Overview: I am currently deployed to Iraq with Coalition Forces and
I have witnessed firsthand the power of the insurgency’s preffered
weapon: the Improvised Explosive Device (IED). This weapon is
effective at causing casualties and has a significant effect on the
morale of Coalition troops. Those who make and emplace IEDs are
rarely caught; most of these insurgents live to fight another day.
IEDs are an effective guerilla warfare tactic, and, unlike landmines,
they allow the operator to target a specific group of people, such as
ZANU PF soldiers and supporters. TG Yellow’s mission, however, would
not be to use IEDs or even to make them. Indeed, most of us are not
in the country at the moment and therefore obviously could not put
these weapons into use. The mission of TG Yellow would be to find
information about what routes ZANU PF soldiers and supplies are likely
to travel on. This includes railways as well as roads.

TG Yellow would also have the duty of obtaining as much information
about IEDs and bombs as possible. The internet is an excellent source
of information for this, and other media could be used as well. TG
Yellow would compile information on bomb construction and tactics and
enemy travel routes.

This information will come in useful later on when we get people
inside the country, but, to start with, we simply need to gather

Task Group Purple
Mission: Propaganda
Overview: TG Purple would be in charge of disrupting enemy
propaganda as well as broadcasting our own information. A very
interesting story that could serve as a model for this operation is
that of Kurt Muse. Mr. Muse was an American living in Panama in the
late 1980s. He and a small group of followers were able to obtain
radio broadcasting equipment to override the radio transmissions made
by the drug lord Noriega. Muse’s group was able to put a thorn in the
side of the corrupt tyrant Noriega. Eventually, the U.S. launched
Operation Just Cause, in which they deposed and captured Noriega. For

TG Purple would find information on how to obtain and employ similar
radio equipment.

At this point, these are my ideas for actions we could take to
oppose the enemy forces. I have given only a brief description of the
role of each TG.

Now I need your feedback on these plans. If you have ideas on how to
improve a TG, or think a TG should be eliminated alltogether, or have
ideas for other TGs, please, let me know. Your comments and
suggestions are more than welcome. Once again, I will not run this
organization by myself; we will all have equal say in how we conduct
our business.

Our organization will be most effective if we all voice our opinions
on how to improve operations.

After we have agreed on what TGs to establish, you would then be
assigned to a specific TG and would work to accomplish that specific
mission. All operatives will share information and ideas and each TG
would report to a headquarters (HQ). The HQ would decide how to best
use all information collected and what actions to take. At first, the
TGs will be small, perhaps only two or three operatives. As we get
more recruits, the need may arise for TG Commanders or even
Sub-Commanders.

Operatives would report to these individuals, who would then report to
HQ.

Now that you have received a brief description of the organization,
structure, and mission we are trying to accomplish, please let me know
what you think of all this and decide whether or not you wish to take
part in this operation. This is only a start, but it could lead to
big things. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Let’s take the step to rid the nation of Mugabe and ZANU PF so we can
have our country back.
