[Photos] Wild scenes as Police & Black Taxis shoot it out

The Police were busy issuing warrants of arrest to black taxi drivers in Hillbrow, Johannesburg. The black taxis are notorious for breaking every known rule of the road. From speeding to jumping red lights; driving down emergency lanes; stopping anywhere on a dime… the list goes on.

The Police decided to clamp down on the black taxi drivers. As they were issuing warrants the black taxi drivers started shooting at them. Then more black taxi drivers started joining in the fight. Two confrontations took place.

Police lined up with shot guns and fired rubber bullets at the taxi drivers. Hundreds of people ran around like headless chickens trying to get out of the line of fire.

After all the shooting however, only one or two people were actually injured!
