[This is a case of impromptu Black-on-Black justice. I would say it was a pretty good end to two disgusting robbers who were prepared to burn 3 people to death. The only thing I am sad about is that the mob didn’t kill the 2nd one as well. But, nevertheless, this is a far better outcome than the Injustices which our courts of law would have engaged in – namely, letter the buggers off lightly. Jan] Johannesburg – An angry mob stoned a Limpopo man to death and attacked his friend on Wednesday after the pair allegedly tried to set three people alight near Soekmekaar. Police spokesperson Captain Ailwei Mushavhanamadi said on Thursday the two men, aged 30 and 26, entered a fruit shop and found a woman serving two customers around 17:30. The men allegedly pointed a firearm at the three people, tied them up with rope, locked them in a storeroom and then demanded money. “When the victims refused to give them money, the suspects poured paraffin over them in order to burn them alive, but they found no matches,” he said. Ransacked The two men then allegedly ransacked the shop and stole R850 from a safe. The three in the shop managed to untie themselves. The woman phoned her husband, who mobilised members of the community to search for the two men. They were found hiding in the bush. After stoning the 30-year-old man to death and severely assaulting his accomplice, the community members phoned the police. Police found a .38 pistol with its serial number filed off and two cartridges lying next to the two men. The stolen cash was also recovered. The 26-year-old man was hospitalised under police guard.
