[This is just the tip of the iceberg… Years ago, fraud by the ANC Govt was estimated to be billions of rands a year. What also is not mentioned is the needless wastage as well – which I would think should also run into billions of Rands a year. In South Africa one can claim grants for children. Arrested in the Eastern Cape on Monday morning, the eight had allegedly defrauded the social grant administration of more than R139 000 since 1999, a social development ministry spokesperson said. They were mainly teachers and government officials, Eastern Cape social development MEC Christiaan Martin told SABC radio, hinting at further expected arrests.
