[The following is from a newsletter of the Zionist Federation. From what I can understand of this, the term “Aliyah” means they went to Israel. Interestingly, in percentage terms, the people leaving South Africa at the fastest rate since 1994 and “the End of Apartheid” – are actually the Jews!! Anywhere from 50-60(43)+% of South African Jews have left South Africa in the last 10 years (exact figures are not available). The news item below indicates that ever increasing numbers of South African Jews are preferring to go to Israel. Remember, the Bible states that a sure sign of the End Times is when the Jews return to Israel. Jews have been returning there for the last 100 years, and the rate seems to be increasing.
