[Wow! For once whites actually attack blacks!! Unlike the other 1000:1 times when blacks attack, rape, murder, assault whites. Jan] Cape Town – The South African Rugby Football Union (Sarfu) has expressed shock at the alleged assault of a black Springbok rugby supporter by a group of white supporters following the Test against Ireland in Bloemfontein on June 12. Motivational speaker Gayton Mckenzie laid a charge of assault after the alleged attack. The group of “white bullies” apparently told McKenzie “he was not white enough to play rugby” and then assaulted him. “This is a deplorable act that must be condemned in the strongest possible terms,” said Sarfu CEO, Mveleli Ncula on Tuesday. “Rugby is a sport for all South Africans and Sarfu expects all of those who wish to associate with the game to subscribe to the values and norms that are acceptable to the game and to broader South African society in general. At Sarfu we embrace transformation, which negates racism. “Sarfu wishes to publicly express its regrets to Mr Gayton McKenzie for this incident. We further wish to impress upon him that this incident should be seen as an exception rather than the rule. “Most rugby fans in this country share a common purpose and demonstrate tolerance across both sides of the divide that once separated them. “Administrators and spectators alike are working to establish a positive image and reputation for the game both in our country and abroad. “Therefore we must also work hand in hand to ensure that rogue elements are removed from our game for good. Sarfu is moving ahead positively and the racist elements that still exist in our game must decide if they are going to change or not. Racism is an evil that must be rooted out of all sectors of society. “We further appeal to anyone who should have a similar experience in the future to immediately notify Sarfu. They should also make full use of the Constitution and the law to see to it that such people are made to answer fully for their actions,” Ncula said. Ncula added that he intended contacting McKenzie in due course to offer a personal apology. McKenzie came to public attention when he shot a video showing corrupt Grootvlei prison warders pimping a juvenile for sex, dealing in drugs and selling a pistol to a double murderer.
