SubTitle: Anti-American Propaganda
This is not an anti-American article. It is merely to demonstrate the impression of America,
which America’s enemies are creating. But before showing you the photos of an interesting
little protest here in Johannesburg, let me mention a few juicy news items from South Africa
which you will not see on CNN.
The Press in South Africa recently stated that our Government is anti-American. This followed
hot on the heels of a statement by the the African National Congress’s Secretary General that
South Africa would be the USA’s next target after Iraq. This is one of those occasions where
the Press spot the Government’s real stance, and discuss it – and then the Government becomes
embarrassed by it and engages in damage control. President Mbeki then said that we really are
not “anti-American”. He said the Secretary General’s statements had not been “properly
interpreted!” Duh! That’s a joke. Whenever such things happen, they suddenly pretend nobody
can understand english any more.
More evidence of President Mbeki’s anti-American and pro-Communist stance can be seen in
his latest announcement on 23rd February 2003, that he will intervene between the USA and
North Korea to prevent a war. Of course, the real issue, is to work against the USA and to get
the USA to leave that maniac communist state in tact.
The black man who is the Editor of the influential, Sunday Times in South Africa had this
to say about it: “Does he [Mbeki] want to play on an international stage where his legacy
would not be just that of another ‘Third World Tin-pot leader’ but one who stood up to the
mighty US and stopped it from starting World War III.”
Many South Africans, including a lot of blacks, are asking why we are concerned at all about
Iraq, because, strictly speaking, it is a minor issue to us. We have our own oil from coal,
and we will not be as badly affected by a war in Iraq as other countries. Why are we worried
about Iraq, when the nation bordering on us is on the edge of Civil War and genocide? Many people
here cannot understand it. Our Government is jumping up and down and rushing all over the
place to intervene in Iraq, but we completely ignore a much bigger problem right next door
which will definitely have a big effect on us. Well, it is no mystery to some of us. Our
neighbour, Mugabe, is really a big friend of our Government who support his genocidal and
anti-democratic ideas – so in their view there is no problem in our neighbour. Meanwhile,
they must rush to the aid of their fellow communists like Saddam Hussein and the North Koreans
who might be smashed into the ground by the USA. Damn!! Now that would be a blow to communism
wouldn’t it? That is why they are so worried.
South Africa has been rushing desperately to save Iraq. South Africa has become quite an
extraordinary player on the world scene these days. South Africa now chairs the so-called
“Non-Aligned Movement”, that has India and many other important countries among its members.
The Non-Aligned Movement actually controls 2/3rds of the seats in the United Nations! So
South Africa actually has a lot of diplomatic clout for an African country. Don’t be fooled
by the term “Non-Aligned Movement”. Robert Mugabe chaired the Non-Aligned Movement for many
years. Rest assured, it is a subtle communist way of manoevring people against the West. As
with all communist operations, its name is deceptive. It is very much aligned – it just does
not say so openly. Recently, the NAM attacked Israel viciously. NAM is really anti-Western
and anti-American – make no mistake.
It has been pointed out that there was one country that had weapons of mass destruction and
it destroyed them in a manner that satisfied the world. That country was South Africa! And,
dare I say, it was whites who carried this out voluntarily (mainly to keep it from falling into
the hands of the ANC!). President Mbeki then used this to say “We can show Saddam how to do it.”
So they rushed off top experts on weapons of mass destruction, from South Africa to Iraq to
quickly “show the Iraqis how to do it!” I laughed so much at this. This is typical of the
cunning lying our government does. They play this feeble game of pretending to be stupid. You
see, the real reason why Saddam still has weapons of mass destruction (if you believe our government)
is because he is too stupid to know HOW to destroy his weapons!! Ha Ha Ha! Yeah right – and we
were going to show him how to do it! Phooey!! But then again, as other commentators in South
Africa pointed out: If South Africa is sending people to show him how to destroy his weapons
of mass destruction, isn’t that a stubtle acknowledgement that HE HAS SUCH WEAPONS AFTER ALL –
and the South African Government KNOWS IT!!! Ha Ha Ha!!
Either way, this ridiculous lying, and playing of games on South Africa’s part only goes to show
exactly where we stand on these issues. We are completely in bed with Saddam – and soon North
Korea too – to try to save them from America’s anger.
I for one am glad that all this stupidity is carrying on because it is showing, slowly but
surely, where the African National Congress really stands. Even many black people in South Africa,
who are not anti-American, are quite amazed at the bedfellows our government has chosen. Many
blacks in South Africa still do not realise that they voted for people who are loyal to Russia
and China… but some of them are waking up to this…
Here at home, where our government has real issues to deal with, but turns a blind eye to them,
the situation in Zimbabwe is very bad, with many blacks fleeing Zimbabwe. I heard that
Botswana, America’s only true ally in Southern Africa, is in a state of Cold War with Zimbabwe.
It is easier for fleeing blacks to cross Botswana’s border, than South Africa’s border and
125,000 blacks are fleeing into Botswana each month. They cannot throw them back into
Zimbabwe fast enough. I heard, confidentially, that Botswana is on the edge
of outright war with Zimbabwe, and that Zimbabwe has withdrawn its High Commissioner from
Botswana. Apparently, the USA is casting an eye on its only true ally in the region, and is
highly concerned about developments here. Slowly, it seems to me, the USA is realising that
their ally in the region is surrounded by a bunch of pro-Communist states. America has very close
military ties with Botswana.
There has also been talk in South Africa of sending “Human Shields” to Iraq. These are people
who will go to the very places the USA is bombing, and they will die for Iraq. There are quite
a lot of Muslims in South Africa who have volunteered to do this. There are also people from
Europe who are going to do this. This reminds me of Rhodesia. The terrorists there often used
women and children as human shields when the army went after them. They deliberately placed
them in the line of fire so the army would have to shoot them first. It is typical of their
cowardly tactics, and of their disregard for civilian life. This is just another communist
tactic aimed at shedding more innocent blood so that it can be blamed on the attackers –
in this case, the USA.
Another piece of news which sadly won’t make CNN is that the Vice President of South Africa,
Mr Zuma was investigated for bribery and corruption. They tried to keep it out of the news and
it was only broadcast on the radio stations, but never on TV. Eventually, a newspaper got hold
of the story and made a fuss about it. There were complaints of this deliberate suppression of
the news from TV.
It is so funny, sometimes, to see how things we whites were blamed for, can be done by the
blacks, and nobody says a word. This week it was announced that 40,000 black squatters would
have to be removed by the Police forcefully. This has happened a couple of times now, since
the ANC came to power. They have to send in Police to break down the illegal shacks, and
forcefully remove the blacks. But there is not a peep about this in the world media. If whites
were doing it, the whole world would be up in arms. Of course, these things are necessary now,
and were also necessary in the past, but the difference is, if whites do it, it is wrong.
In parliament we had another event, which should also have been on CNN, but of course will not
be. The leader of the official opposition, Tony Leon, said straight out, that “black people were
better off under Apartheid!” One would have imagined, a statement like that should have generated
booing and a mass outcry, or complete laughter. Instead, President Mbeki’s comeback was a tame
one which went “Prove to me that blacks were better off under Apartheid.” I would have expected
a definite statement saying “Absolutely NOT!!” But that is not the case. Many people have commented
over the years that the common masses of black people are not better off than they were in the
past. In fact, they are largely worse off. Tony Leon’s response to President Mbeki was something
along these lines “Go and speak to black people in the townships and they will tell you that they
were better off under Apartheid!”
Considering how the entire world was up in arms over Apartheid, it is interesting to see none
of these liberals eating their words now that their rosy predictions are not panning out.
As can be seen, in terms of actual jobs, income, etc, black people
lived better under Apartheid. They might not have had so many freedoms, but they had food on the
table, more law and order, etc. Many people, even liberals in South Africa who were against
Apartheid, have had to concede that virtually nothing positive has been achieved for common
blacks in the last 9 years. And yet, everyone was expecting (or so the theory went in
international circles), that removing Apartheid would suddenly bring benefits to blacks. The
reality is, there is little one can do for them, and the only way forward is through decent
economic progress – which we were busy with under white rule. The socialist alternatives of the
ANC have done nothing but impoverished everyone except for the ruling party and their elite who
have been coining it, just like Mugabe’s ruling party and his elite. They are all as rich as hell
while the black masses are poorer than ever before. It was something I have believed for a long
time, and I have long said, that one day, black people may look back on Apartheid as the best
years of their lives. Give it another 10 years, and you will see them yearning for it. Believe it
or not, but black leaders can be harsher on their own people than whites ever were. You can see
evidence of that all across Africa.
More evidence of our anti-American stance came when the South African broadcasting commission
said it was going to cancel our contract with CNN and instead switch to Al Jazeera, which is
an Arab news service. It caused a massive public outcry, and then they dropped the plans.
But, nevertheless, we now have a permanent correspondent in Baghdad. We often get direct news
reports from there which are no doubt, subtle propaganda intended to turn us against you
Americans. They show us their daily life, and how they are suffering, and how, when you folks
attack them and bomb them, you will be destroying their lives. Nobody mentions the 1,600
death row prisoners Saddam used for his chemical and biological experiments. Nobody mentions his
aggression, etc. Instead, we are told to feel sorry for all these innocent civilians whom you
Americans are going to kill.
Then they did a story, which really smacked of propaganda. It was about all the children and
babies in hospitals in Iraq, and how there was no place to put them once the casualties from
the American attacks were streaming in. They were saying there was such limited hospital
space and they might have to throw the babies out, or maybe they might just not have space
for the dead and dying as America was attacking them. I listened to this, and remarked that
this is definitely propaganda, aimed now at portraying Americans as baby killers.
The next day was a rare rainy day in Johannesburg. As I was going to work, I spotted a small
protest in the middle of Johannesburg, across from the Library. I saw signs attacking Bush and
Blair, and saw a group of little tiny tots, lined up by a black lady, and carrying banners which
read, “Stop the war in Iraq”. There were Police watching over this protest in the rain, and I saw
a few journalists taking photographs. Strangely, the protest never made the TV news nor the
local newspapers. But clearly, somebody, somewhere was going to put out this story.
I parked my car quickly, and grabbed an old camera I keep in the car, and took some photos of
this anti-American protest. In South Africa, anti-Israeli and anti-American sentiment run
together. Those who support Palestine also support Iraq and they also hate America.
The little black children were made to march and chant “We want peace! We want peace!” and
their signs had a strong message – likening them to the children who would be killed in Iraq.

You might say that I am cruel and unfeeling, not to “care” for the Iraqi children, but that is
life. It is not me, nor you who chose the path of Iraq. It is the Iraqis, and one should remember
the chemical weapons Saddam used against the Kurds – against the women and children – and his
wars on Iran and Kuwait, and his threats to bury Israel and kill Israelis by the million as if
they are dogs.
Such is the nature of life. Saddam, and those people chose their path through life. It is sad
that mothers, and children will die, but there too, they chose that. They could do something to
take the women and children to safety as real men have done through the ages, and they could have
done much to save lives, but it is the choice of their leader, to put human shields, and
civilians in and around the soldiers in the hope that they will die so that they can then blame
the bloodshed on the USA.
These are their choices. I feel sorry for the innocents who will die, but nothing can be done.
There is a greater cause, and that cause is for Saddam and his trouble-making creeps to go.
They killed many when they had the chance to, and we should not feel sorry for them now that
the hunters have become the hunted. He who lives by the sword dies by the sword. That was their
choice and they will have to answer to God for their choices.
