South Africa: Political leaders hit churches

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Bloemfontein – Political leaders on the campaign trail in Bloemfontein, headed for church on Easter Sunday for “spiritual upliftment” ahead of the May 18 local government elections.

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe said at the Tyrannus Apostolic Church that ANC leaders attend church services so that God can help them spiritually as political leaders, according to a report by SABC radio news.

Motlanthe told worshippers that they must tell politicians who come canvassing for the elections that they want delivery.

He told the congregation to vote for people that they trust and know.

The leader of the newly formed National Freedom Party (NFP), Zanele Ka-Magwaza-Msibi, said she decided to attend the same church meetin in Bloemfontein to get “spiritual upliftment” as a political leader.

She said her party had support in some parts of the Free State, like the east of the province and Bloemfontein.

Church spokesperson Richard Bokveldt said the church did not support any specific political party.

When the church leader said from the stage “vote for the right party”, he had meant that the members as individuals would know which party would serve them best.

Bokveldt said as the church they prayed for all political parties and leaders.
