I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Two months ago, a five-year-old girl, (names withheld) was kidnaped from her parents’ Alausa Ikeja, Lagos residence by a man who rode on a motorcycle. The incident devastated parents of the little girl, whose father is a public office holder in Lagos State.
While a search team combed the entire area in search of the primary 1 girl, a call was reportedly received by the apprehensive parents where the caller confirmed their fears about their little girl being kidnaped.
A ransom of N10 Million as gathered, was first demanded before the girl would be released. However at the end of the bargain, both sides reached an agreement of N2 million.
The ransom sources said was dropped as instructed at Cele bus-stop, along the Oshodi Apapa expressway at about 9pm, where the kidnappers picked the sum and released the girl, after one week of abducting the little girl.
However, the good news is that three members of the kidnap syndicate have been arrested with one of them still on the run. Surprisingly, the mastermind of the kidnap turned out to be no other than the abducted girl’s own uncle, Raphael Ajimetafia. Twenty-five -year-old Raphael, a native of Ewohimi in Edo state, is the younger brother to Mrs Adeniji, mother of the kidnaped girl.
In fact, Mrs Adeniji as gathered, took Raphael from their mother, right from when he was six years old and had been living with the family until just two years ago when he was handed an unspecified huge amount of money by Mr Adeniji to start a life of his own.
Raphael, was reportedly the first person to be arrested when news of his niece disappearance was reported to the Police . This was because he was said to have visited the family that fateful day and as a well known person, three of Mrs Adeniji’s children followed him outside to get some biscuits. But they had barely stepped out when a motorcyclist rode by and picked up the five- year old girl to an unknown destination. At the station, his in-law, Mr Adeniji reportedly signed for his bail, following his conviction that Raphael had nothing to do with the kidnap. In fact Raphael was said to have been at the fore front of the search party.
However, shock and disbelief could best describe the expression on the faces of Mr Adeniji and his wife when Raphael was discovered to be among the kidnappers. Mrs Adeniji who could not contain the shock, reportedly broke down in tears when she discovered the unbelievable deed of her younger brother whom she had taken as a child.
On what prompted him into such devilish act, Raphael disclosed that he was on a revenge mission against his sister. He further revealed that he had at one time approached her for financial assistance but she refused, thereby decided to use kidnap as a bait to achieve his aim.
According him, ” I am indeed very sorry for what I did to my elder sister. Aunty as I call her is the first child of my family. I believe this is as a result of sheer greed and the devil’s handiwork.
I had approached my sister to give me money to buy aluminum glass because the contract job I was into was not lucrative. But she told me she was tired of me that at least she had tried by giving me money to establish myself which of course is true. Her husband personally gave me money to rent a shop for my business as well as get an apartment. Because I really needed the money, I approached a friend named Idris Cooker who introduced me to ThankGod for the purpose.
The kidnap Plans
On the day in question, I, ThankGod, Idris and Tunji went to Alausa area where my sister lives . While I went in, others stationed on their motorcycles. I later came out with three of the children with the pretence of buying them biscuits. I then used the opportunity to point one of my nieces at ThankGod who later picked her and zoomed off.
I was not involved in the bargain but joined my sister in looking for the missing child . When the call for the ransom came, I even suggested they bargain for N2 million which they did. At the end , the child was released and after the payment was made and I got the sum of N800,000.00 while the rest three persons got N400,000,00each”. Asked what he used his share for, he replied, ” I used it to buy the equipment I needed for my job.
Arrested at last
After the release of the child, all seemed to be going well with the kidnappers. But unknown to them, the Police had not closed the case file, as they reportedly subjected the little girl to some questions.
Two weeks later, they made head way as the intelligent girl was able to tell the name of the school of the woman in whose custody she was. She was also able to give the woman’s name as mama Precious. Armed with the information, detectives stormed the school in Okota area and demanded to see mama precious where those who knew the teacher by that name, handed her over to the police.
During investigation, she revealed that her husband brought the little girl home convincing her she was his sister’s daughter. Consequently, her husband, ThankGod was arrested.
n his confessional statement, ThankGod exempted his wife from the kidnap saga, saying, ” She never knew the girl was kidnaped. I simply told her the little girl was my sister’s daughter and since my wife did not know most of my family members because she is not from the same place with me, she just accepted.”
Asked how he managed to take the little girl to his Okata residence, he replied, ” when I mounted her on the okada, she wanted to scream at first but I held her breath. On reaching the house, we pampered her so much that she did not even cry, coupled with the fact that I also had two little children who kept her company.” Affirming that he got a share of N400,000.00, he revealed that he used the amount to purchase a power generating set, a refrigerator and clothes.
CP Alkali warns
Warning kidnappers to stay off Lagos in their own interest, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Yusuf Alkali, said the command would make the state uncomfortable for them. Noting that since his assumption in office eight kidnap attempts had been foiled with the suspects arrested, he assured that his men were battle ready to continue to foil further attempt.
