I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

ARGUABLY, the outgoing year, which is ending today, could be described as one of the best in the history of police in its several years of existence. It was a year that recorded low crime rates in some commercial cities. It was also a year that police personnel exhibited some levels of caution and improvement in their vigorous fight against crimes and criminalities. The outgoing tear purportedly recorded the most reduced incidences of violent crimes .

In spite of some skirmishes experienced in various parts of the country, robbery and other violent crimes were thoroughly checkmated by the police.

But police could not beat its chest in the area of extortion as many policemen still indulge in extortion of motorists. The X- squad, attached to IGP’s office,Alagbon, Lagos, arrested over 100 policemen for extortion along several Lagos roads within 30 days. Some of them were paraded before newsmen in Lagos. The high level of extortion is a major minus for the Force which is battling for public acceptance.

However, the year was not also too good for the police in terms of administration ,which arose from the minor shake up in the force which saw the sudden sack of former Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mr. Ogbonna Onovo and his replacement with a very junior officer. The shake up nearly eroded the discipline and unity among senior police officers . The senior officers, as a result of the promotion of Mr. Hafizf Ringim, were expected to take order from their junior. However the appointment of the incumbent IGP, later led to the premature retirement of about five Deputy Inspector Generals of Police, DIGs which lresulted in a sudden brain drain in the Force .

The year witnessed a reduction of armed robbery activities and other violent crimes. An official record shows that crime has cascaded in notable commercial centers like Lagos, Abuja ,Onitsha and Kano among others. Some robbers who attempted to operate at various areas met their waterloos. Some were killed and others seriously injured. For example, there was no record of robbery incident in Lagos, Abuja etc during the last Christmas.

Also the way and manner in which the police fought kidnappers especially in the Eastern parts of the country is quite commendable. The whole Eastern parts of the country was enmeshed by kidnappers. It was embarrassing. Kidnapping attempted to frustrate this years 50th independence celebration, had the police not risen to the challenges and proved that they have what it takes to quell their activities

The police also proved their mettle when the kidnappers stirred the hornet’s nest by abducting and kidnapping four journalists who are members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Lagos. They were kidnapped at a border town between Abia State and Akwa Ibom while returning from Akwa Ibom State where they had allegedly gone for official assignment.

The immediate past IGP, Onovo demonstrated his resolve to prove to the kidnappers that he had capable men to end their reign. He purportedly mobilized over 1000 policemen to the thick bush where the kidnappers held the journalists hostage for over a week. The police combed the bush and when the evil men saw that they were in trouble, they abandoned the journalists and fled for their lives. That feat by the police has brought relative peace in the South East and its neighboring South South regions.

Prior to this, no rich Igbo man dared to go home to bury loved ones or attend weddings and other social events over alleged fears of being kidnapped. This was a big threat to the security of this nation. Foreigners fled the shores of Nigeria and in spite of Federal government continued assurances that the security men are on the trail of the kidnappers, the expatriate turned their deaf ears and stayed back in their country homes.

Before this point, several white men including, Americans, Indians, Germans ETC were variously kidnapped and released with huge ransom. Major oil and exploration companies suffered brain drains as some key technical staff fled the shores of this great country and vowed not to return. Their families in their respective countries advised against their return to Nigeria. It was a major threat that was fused with criminal and political tendencies.

The police mounted road blocks at every kilometer to checkmate the activities of the evil men .Their activities restored the hope of the masses. This achievement endeared the citizenry to the heart of the police.

But the same could not be said on the activities of an acclaimed Moslem sect that killed several people in Bauchi and some other Northern states. The sect known as Bokoharam fought against what it described as western ideologies in the country . They killed people, especially Christians, burnt churches and destroyed several Christian homes. The fragile peace in the country was jolted and the police went into action. The resurgence of the sect earlier in the year became another threat to security. But the police under the leadership of Onovo did not handle the matter to the admiration of the presidency which allegedly formed the decision to remove him unceremoniously.

Also the inefficiency of the police to curtail the wanton destruction of lives in Jos,Plateau state is a minus to their operational efficiency.

In spite of the above, the police performed well in areas of fighting robbery along the high ways. High way banditry was reduced and lives and valuable lost in the year were minimal when compared with that of previous years. Only few robberies were witnessed in banks and other financial homes and in most cases the attempt of the robbers were foiled by armed robbers. The police acquired several Armoured Personnel Carriers, APC which were stationed at strategic crime prone areas to tackle the activities of criminals . Also the robbers got wind that the amoury of the police has been equipped with the state of the arts arms and ammunitions and the determination of police personnel to counter their activities made many of them to repent and turned to a new life.

Commissioner of police in Lagos, Mr. Marvel Akpoyibo repeatedly advised robbers to flee the state or risk their lives. In fact many that attempted to ignore the advice paid dearly with their lives. The Commissioner nearly foiled all robbery attempts in the command and killed many, during encounter with the evil men. He made Lagos and its environment so uncomfortable for any robber to operate successfully. He supervised the police even at mid night to make sure that they did not stray from their pin down points.

It was same in various police formations in the country. In Abuja, the Commissioner of police,Mr. John Haruna displayed gallantry by ensuring that no robber escaped the air tight security net work in the nation’s capital city. He wiped away crimes in the area. This could also be said in Ogun,Kaduna, Anambra, etc where the police performed creditably.

But the sudden removal of some best brains in the police affected administration and leadership of the police. The newly appointed IGP who many believed was appointed by President GoodLuck Jonathan based on personal relationship may not have what it takes to salvage the police Force. Nearly four months police are yet to feel his impact. Many argue that the appointment has taken the Force back because the man was not prepared for the plum post. Saved for the wisdom of the Police Service Commission which recommended that some senior Assist Inspectors General of Police AIOGs be elevated ,the police would have become a shadow of itself.

In the forth year the police would attempt to acquire more arms and ammunitions and ensure that competency of individual should be considered rather than politics in posting officers. Commissioners of polie of respective commands should pay hazards allowances to policemen on essential duties. The salary of police, especially the rank and files should be adjusted, a little upward to enable them give their best at all times.
