My 2010 ended on a most awesome note for me.
I have been experiencing a lot of tensions in various aspects of my life with my relations to people I know, work with and even my very closest friends, especially my female friends.
I have no complaints about our volunteers for both the websites. They are all happy, in high spirits and rocking. We were discussing the need for monthly meetings. We’re arguing somewhat about the best format for a meeting since the volunteers range across the spectrum. We have volunteers who live across the USA, in Africa and in Australia. Finding a common time when everyone can meet is impractical and I am making the argument for “meetings” via a limited email list. I have never been a meeting kinda-guy, but I do realise the need for a monthly meeting and for me to regularly participate in beefing up people’s spirits and giving direction and guidance. This is part of what I must do, and I am entering 2011, determined to doing that instead of, as in the past, eventually ignoring people and just doing my own thing. Part of my game, in a leadership role is to be there to boost spirits and to give my input of the view from my level and with all the information I have access to which others do not see. I do intend giving people information that previously was only available to me. It is important that the team see what the others are doing. That the best performers see that they are at the top and the others see that they are being outpaced. I need to foster a gentle and positive competitive spirit. Making certain crucial information available to these people on tap is important. The bottom line: I have no complaints with our team. Some are more exuberant than others, and I just need to try my best to manage it. I am learning more about the human aspect of life which I have ignored for a very long time and I have a clearer idea of what duties I *MUST* perform for the good of the group and the websites. I will now attend to this.
But I had other tensions in my life with other people, and it did worry me a lot. However, suddenly, as if by magic, all the tensions just disappeared virtually overnight. Some had to do with friendships where, it seemed we were just rubbing each other up wrong, despite good intentions on both sides. Others were “professional tensions”. But suddenly, in 24 hours, even tensions from past months just all snowballed together and one good thing led to another, which led to another. One solution solved another problem, and that in turn solved another, and suddenly in a matter of hours ALL the problems I had with people just evaporated into thin air!! It was so pleasant, and so delightful.
It started with me being invited to someone’s birthday party and from there, one thing led to another, and even “professional issues” just went out of the window.
A lot of human communication is actually non-verbal. Scientists have established that up to 70% of human communication is NON-VERBAL. It is not what you say that is as important as your body language. We think we’re higher than animals but in fact, a dog which growls at you is communicating to you and is communicating with you in a very effective way. The dog is showing serious displeasure and serious intent, and you know full well, that you must be careful because if you make a wrong move, that dog might have a piece of you!! In many ways that dog’s growling is a better form of communication than any words or emails that dog could have written – assuming the dog could write!! This is not something that is lost on me. It is a scientific fact that when there is a lack of congruence between a verbal message and body language, that people ALWAYS read the body language. You can say how great you feel, but if your body language indicates that you are unconfident or defensive, that shows through loud and clear.
In fact, PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION is also something the ANC used to great effect. I remember reading in a book on Psychological warfare for military purposes that they referred to “the propaganda of the deed”. To go and murder someone to send a political or military message is far more effective than writing pages full of essays in all the newspapers of the world. Terrorism and revolution is based on this concept. In Military terms they refer to it as “propaganda of the deed”. You blow someone’s brains out… not just to kill him, but more importantly, to send a very direct and stunning message. Great conqerors, like Ghengis Khan, Alexander and others used terror as a weapon. ALL the great generals and conquerors in history, WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT, were men of incredible intelligence. To run a military campaign, to handle an army and its logistics, never mind its strategy and tactics – requires a very powerful mind. Most of the great generals and conquerors of history were super intelligent men, capable of great feats of reason and these men often cultivated fake images of themselves because of the psychological benefits of this. So Alexander the Great and Ghengis Khan, both went to great lengths to convince people that God or the Gods were on their side. Similarly, terror was also cultivated as a weapon. The Romans used terror as a real weapon. They wanted anyone to know that if you stabbed Rome in the back, that Rome would return with a vengeance second to none. These were not crazy, weird people fit for a mental home. These were very accomplished, balanced, capable people who created images of themselves that furthered their interests. Whether they pretended that God was on their side, or whether they acted as devils, it was all carefully thought out to enhance their power even more and to reduce resistance to them. “You stand no chance… because God is on the side of Alexander or the Khan…” Charlemagne, the greatest Christian King in all history, and ruler of the Holy Roman Empire, was an intelligent, lettered man, seeking education for the masses but who did not flinch at beheading 4,500 people in a sitting if they did not accept Christianity!! You will find in history many examples of highly intelligent men who could read and write. They could speak eloquently and could command nations and armies, who, could turn around on a dime, and order the execution of thousands in an instant if it suited their purposes. They were not maniacs. They were actually very logical people. A lot of this is lost in history. In my view, you cannot rule a nation successfully, nor can an army campaign successfully, if it is led by a madman and a fool. Instead in history, you see very successful people often behaving quite strangely, but these people, upon closer examination were more logical and deeper than we appreciate. Take Henry the 8th of England who made a habit of beheading women he had married. Henry was probably one of the greatest kings England ever had. He was a brilliant, cunning, ambitious and successful king. He was no fool.
Alexander the Great or Ghengis Khan or the Romans or many of the others used PHYSICAL COMMUNICATIONS, in its varied forms, from torture to execution to send benevolent or freakish messages in the same way that the ANC or Robert Mugabe have done in recent years.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then torture or murder is worth a thousand pictures!!
And if there is something a man could learn from a dog, which would make him a better man, then he too should learn how to GROWL. To growl may be worth 10,000 emails!!! So teach yourself how to growl, and ponder this. It is most important in life, and it is also a way to send a message to higher powers who are treading on your balls. When COSATU assembled masses of people and smashed buildings and set cars on fire, they were really just growling. Many of us need to learn lessons like this and we must learn to apply it individually and as groups in order to protect ourselves and also to move our own agendas forward. You can sit there and sip tea and talk the Queen’s English for a year, but it won’t have the same effect as spending 1 minute growling and trying to bite a chunk out of someone. If nothing else, it conveys a message in a short space of time – and it conveys it along with a certain level of EMOTION that needs to go along with the message. You need to get the adrenalin pumping through the opposition… they will take your message far more effectively when they are in a state of fear than if you are both sitting and sipping a glass of wine together. Ponder these things.
The more you ponder animals the more you realise that in some things, they might be ahead of us!!
For me it was good to see strained relations disappearing and new understanding returning. It was good to see stress leaving and to feel some warmth again. I had friends I did not want to lose – but we were just not on the same level seeing the same thing. Sometimes, even if both sides try, it is tough. But sometimes too those times of strain teach people boundaries.
This year I had to teach two family members and one friend that I am not susceptible to peer pressure. I had to show them very clearly, in no uncertain terms that you cannot blackmail me with peer pressure. I do not give in to peer pressure. (It is one thing my Mother taught me a lot about and I not only embraced it, but always saw the importance of it and was glad for it). I am completely unmoved by what others do and you can never use fashion or other trends as a way of convincing me to change things. Also, I do not care if people gang up on me. I am used to being ganged up on and I am used to being outnumbered. These things do not move me.
I was exceptionally pleased to see that those who tried it later came back to me with a much better attitude. I have taught quite a few people also to watch their P’s and Q’s and to say: “Please” and “Thankyou”. That’s cool. That’s all I wanted. I’m not your dog to be kicked around as you see fit. Just say “Please” and say “Thankyou” and treat me with respect, and I am more than happy to help where I can. Don’t think that shunting me around is going to work. You will see that I too can put up quite a fight in return. I can also push if I wish. So some people just need to be taught some manners – and some of them, I must admit, are in my family. But if their parents did not teach them manners, then I will.
2010 was a strange year. I travelled to Orania and the USA, and I saw lots of similarities that the one had to the other! I liked what I saw people doing in Orania and I liked what I saw Americans doing and Orania is really very like America in more ways than you realise. In Orania the whites work for themselves. They do ALL their own labour AND they are 100% free market capitalists. Their attitude, their goals are really IDENTICAL to what made America great and they are really aspiring to be like Americans (except for the multicultural part)! But Orania is really like White people in America were like before they were hijacked by the Politically Correct crowd. Its that simple. Even now, there are more similarities than differences.
So I travelled to two different places and learned something positive in each.
In 2011 I don’t see much travel on the cards, except for one trip which will surprise you. I will tell you about it after it is over. I would like to travel more in South Africa itself though.
In 2011, I know exactly what my goals and deadlines will be. I have a very firm, very focussed plan for the year. I am going into this year having, by a process of elimination over the last 18 months, realised exactly where I must focus my efforts. So 2011 will be a very focussed, very motivated year in a way like I have not had for an extremely long time.
I am therefore looking forward to 2011. In 2011, we have an election in Zimbabwe which is guaranteed to be another rip-off. I see no progress in that country. I think it is very possible that Zimbabwe will take a step backwards in 2011. The Zimbabwe crisis is far from over and Zimbabwe will be in the news again and the end result will be unhappy for all. But, it will just annoy the masses even more, and set the scene for the ultimate showdown and solution to Zimbabwe’s problems in the coming decades. Expect Zimbabwe in the news.
South Africa will be more of the same. I am sad to see the Labour Brokers being annhilated by this ridiculous, power-hungry bunch of lunatics and fools who rule this country. And God only knows what other stuff ups and bad news will come out of the ANC in 2011. The GOOD NEWS is that the ANC is becoming ever more irrelevant even as it claws its way frantically using the ANC Youth League and COSATU to try to gather all the blacks back into their mental slavery. Some blacks are thinking for themselves. Some are sick of the ANC. On the world stage the ANC have lost LOTS of credibility. Even in Africa, South Africa is becoming more irrelevant – thanks to the ANC being the dishonest broker that it is.
President Mbeki did a fabulous job running around Africa being a totally dishonest broker and laying the foundation for future conflicts in Africa and a greater distrust of South Africa. President Zuma would surprise me completely if he was different. I am sure he is going to be even more one-sided than Mbeki. I would be amazed if he were different.
South Africa will continue to be a loser even among Third World nations. None of our problems will be solved. The ANC will just make them worse. But as I say, the ANC is going crazy, through their ANC-only economy, to get as much money, as many assets, etc under the control of the ANC itself and its top people as possible. They need to steal more, and steal faster in order to prepare for the day when more and more people inside and outside this country turn on them. They need to destroy as many businesses as they can before those businesses start funding opposition groups, etc. So the clock is ticking for the ANC just as it has done for Mugabe and ZANU.
The good news for us all is that time is on our side. So when you listen to that clock ticking us into the New Year, keep remembering, with each tick… the ANC and ZANU and Mugabe and Zuma… are becoming ever more irrelevant, and this time, the clock is NOT on their side.
The Marxist Socialists who promised they could save everyone can’t even save the blacks they lied to and told they could save. But in the meantime… we, the rest of us, will SAVE OURSELVES!!
With that, let me wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year. We’ll keep watching Gold and the stocks. There is money to be made for those with savvy. In 2011, I and my websites and volunteers will focus ever more on your personal survival and will do all we can to help you to look after yourself in the same way that people did for millenia before socialism was invented!
