I’ve always known about the Jewish involement aganist the aparthied government. Joe Slovo comes to mind and other individuals kwown only in the circles of South Africa.
They were like many Jews in America who fought so for civil rights for Blacks in the United States. Despite this tremendous support, the black political leadership who benefited from civil rights stabbed the Jews is their back. The same is true in Israel too. There are Jews who support the rights of Arabs
to have their own state. Yet, these very Arabs want to kill them.
Some Jews take their traditions of social justice, charity, love of fellow man and twist these ideas to the point they could actually defend Nazis. What
is needed is for common sense to pervail. I am one Jew who may not have supported aparthied. But I strongly support the right of the Afrikaners to have
their own homeland. Orania is a shinning example of this.

Hi Ted,
I thought I’d single your comments out for a separate discussion.
I am glad to hear your view about Afrikaner independence. I had this discussion with others who disagreed with me on it. But I saw no reason why the Afrikaners can’t have their own independence if they so choose. Everyone does have “the right to be free”. Its just a fact of life. Everyone can choose… and if they want to have their own state, then why not? It is after all no different to Jews wanting their own state. In the case of Jews, Judaism is really a religion, so “Jewish” by definition=religion and the Jewish state should be religious. So if Jews want a state on the basis of their religion, fine.
I really see no reason why people should be limited in what they desire. If that’s what they want, then so be it. The key issue is that they leave others in peace and they look after their own affairs. If blacks can have their independence then why can’t Afrikaners?
I like your take that you did not like Apartheid but you support Orania. On that score I am 100% the same as you. I don’t like the idea of people limiting other people – “oppression”. If you look squarely at the idea of Afrikaner independence, it is totally as “oppression-free” as you can get. Essentially, Orania is the same as America. In America, whites came and did their own thing. Orania is the same thing. You don’t need slaves or anything. You take care of yourself. If you do your own work, feed yourself, clothe yourself, and defend yourself… heck… you’re no trouble to others. It is definitely LESS OPPRESSIVE than Apartheid.
And it works the other way too. The Afrikaners being forced into ANC to be ruled by people they don’t like and don’t trust… that’s also OPPRESSIVE. Why should the ANC be allowed to OPPRESS Afrikaners? I see no reason to tolerate their racism and communism towards whites. If the ANC doesn’t want the whites around then they should allow us all to leave. And if we want a part of the country as our own to live in, then they should let us have it.
I found your comments about Jews being on the side of all sorts of moral issues interesting. That the blacks in America stabbed them in the back is interesting.
The problem with Jews trying to befriend Arabs is that the Koran tells you to kill Jews and to force non-Muslims to convert or you must tax/punish them. I think the real problem is that Islam can’t co-exist with anyone else… and if Muslims wish to emphasise that side of their religion then they should be annihilated. The Muslims have been trying to conquer Europe for the last 1,000 years. Now they want to conquer America too. They are completely silly and if they wish to pursue this type of view, then people should sort them out. I think they are the ones who are truly intolerant.
It is very silly of Blacks in America to also be siding with the Muslims. Very, very daft – totally dumb – not to mention completely unpatriotic.
People in South Africa have been trying to shut Orania up and to try to pretend that Orania is some sort of evil or stupid nonsense. I’ve been to Orania and now I’ve also travelled 3,000 Km across a small portion of the massive USA, and there is no question that Orania is actually a case of Afrikaners trying to be like Americans are. That is what Orania is.
It works that way… and in that sense its great. These are whites who just want to do their own thing, and in Africa, where blacks are so plentiful that nobody, including their own leaders, know what to do with them – we are seeing whites cutting the last ties to black labour.
Orania is, unquestionably, Afrikaners who are forward-looking and who are preparing themselves for their own future by relying on themselves. In that sense they are no different to the early Americans, to the Greeks or Romans or any other national state in Europe. They just want to be themselves and be left alone to live in the way they like.
The Afrikaners, in my view have every much the right to a state of their own as any of the many dozens of existing states out there including those in Europe. In fact, my late mentor, Dr Chris Jordaan told me that Afrikaners complied with ALL the requirements laid down by the European Union for you to have a state of your own. They have a culture of their own, they once had a state, they even have their own language. They comply with all the requirements.
Now the ANC wants to target whites with all sorts of quotas, and seizing their land, etc. So I see no reason why Afrikaners should put up with this nonsense and rather have their own country.
Of course, if the ANC chooses to fight them, it might come off second best and really regret that course of action. It might find that it loses much more than it expected. That’s what happened in 1948 in Israel. After decades of stress between the Arabs and the Jews… the Arabs invaded and decided to destroy the Jews for once and for all… and the outcome was the exact opposite. The Jews survived their destruction and instead Israel came into being.
The same could happen in South Africa. The blacks could decide to destroy us whites, and the next thing they find, to their utter amazement is that we walk away with a larger, and more important part of the country than they imagined. They might just find that racial war was the biggest mistake they ever made.
