Luanda – The Economics Police are analysing the situation of economics crime in Angola over the last five years and the operative treatment to the phenomenon, during the 21st Broad Consultative Council going in Luanda since Wednesday.
The two-day meeting is being chaired by the national director of Inspection and Investigation of Economic Activities of the National Police, sub-commissioner José Alexandre Manuel Canelas.
The council is analysing the degree of accomplishment of recommendations from 2009, the work done by the organ until the first half of this year and the economic crime in every region of the country.
The participants will also discuss the weaknesses in the banking system, environmental control system in Angola, social protection of Interior Ministry’s personnel and globalisation and its impact on organised crime.
The public probity laws, law on money laundering, disciplinary responsibility under Decree nº 33/91, of July 26 and the legal context of the trafficking of educative reform books and products of exclusive use of the Angolan Armed Forces, are also part of the meeting.
Gathering national and provincial directors and commanders of economics police units, the Broad Consultative Council will also address the Action Plan of the National Department of Inspection and Investigation of Economic Activities for 2010.
