I am going to have to shut down the old AfricanCrisis.org website. I have had a problem continuously with Readyhosting regarding the site. They say that hackers have managed to get into it and are spamvertising the Farm Murders and other pages and they keep shutting down AfricanCrisis.org
I have a simple plan of action I will try as a temporary fix, but I have also decided that hosting my websites on windows is becoming prohibitively expensive, and I want to shut down the 3 websites that I host with them. I want to find another Linux host as well. I have a plan of how I want to run with my websites.
Now, the shutting down and phasing out of all the Windows-based sites, including my book store, will be my highest priority.
I have been noticing, for weeks on end now, AfricanCrisis coming under attack. At first it was intense for days… then it became more random. I see someone seems to have hacked into part of my admin system as of this morning.
I also notice that my farm murders page seems to have been knocked out of action for several days. I’m not sure how they managed to get the farm murders page completely off the internet. I need to investigate it. I’m sure the farm murders page is still there, but they seem to have found a way of stopping all traffic from going to it.
I noticed many attempts for weeks to hack into and break our admin system. This has happened before, but I normally don’t mind because JoAn will tell me if things are critical. However, JanOlifant is also very busy and JoAn in the USA is having amazing connection problems of her own!!! In fact, we have been wondering how it is possible that JoAn in the USA can have connection problems which are worse than Africa.
There was an incident in JoAn’s hometown the other day which made her friends even fleetingly wonder whether South Africans were operating there! We dismissed the idea… but its not impossible I suppose.
I have also noticed something else that has been bothering me… somewhere… somehow… certain photos are disappearing off the AfricanCrisis website.
So it looks to me as if we are under SEVERE ATTACK and have been for quite some time now. This is probably related to my posts about President Zuma and Julius Malema… and who knows… perhaps President Zuma has ordered some kind of harrassment of AfricanCrisis.
I will first take whatever technical action I can, as my time allows. I need to make more backups, etc… and more copies of the website. I will shut down AfricanCrisis.org but will make new plans.
If this harrassment continues, I will have to start escalating it and reporting it to wider authorities and I might even have to start approaching some of you or even some other organisations to report this and to help me win back my freedom of speech.
