S.Africa: Jan Lamprecht on my way back from a good visit to Orania – Where the future is made…

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

I’m sitting in the car with my laptop and my 3G connection posting this to all of you. We had quite an intense time in Orania.

We were taken around Orania by one of the senior people there and showed many things and given a guided tour of their achievements.

I have a lot to say about Orania. An english-South African friend of mine went there hoping to also see what business potential Orania has. And on the business front I have much to also say about Orania.

I met Frans who is the head of the Orania movement and we spoke briefly because he was busy with an “orientation course” for new inhabitants of Orania.

Orania is small but growing rapidly… As I chatted to the people there I was impressed.

Forget about your preconceived notions of the Orania movement and what these Afrikaners are like. They are not the same type of people you are expecting. These people are pioneers and they’re creative. They also have an opportunistic attitude. As one Orania business said to me, “As ‘n haas uitspring dan skiet ons hom” (Translation: “If a rabbit jumps up, we shoot him”) – in essence emphasising the need to seize any opportunities that come their way.

Orania is a place worth exploring, and I emphasise this need to explore Orania and meet the peole there. It is not an Afrikaner paradise, it is a place where people work hard and where they are forced to think:-
(a) Creatively
(b) In strictly, 100% capitalist terms – no free lunches in Orania – not even for Afrikaners (and even then under very limited conditions).

Orania is a fascinating experiment… and many Orania principles and lessons learned from it, could be applied in other places. Orania should be seen as a very unique Afrikaner experiment which has many possible applications. My friend who went with, was saying that one could extract ideas from Orania and apply it around Johannesburg in a multi-racial setting. But more on that later.

I have much to tell about Orania and the people and the concept.
