I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Maputo – The Mozambican police on Tuesday denied claims that one of its officers died in a shoot-out with criminals in Beluluane, on the outskirts of Maputo.
Last week, the police raided a luxury house in Beluluane, inside a condominium where staff of the MOZAL aluminium smelter live, after receiving information that it had become a criminal hideout.
The operation took place in broad daylight, and a lookout saw the police coming. The criminals clambered over the wall, stole a car in the neighbouring street, and fled after an exchange of shots with the police.
Some of the media reported that one of the policemen died, but on Tuesday, at his regular press briefing, the spokesperson for the police General Command, Pedro Cossa, denied the story.
“No police officer died”, he insisted. The man in question received a bullet in the aid, but he is still alive and is receiving medical care.
Inside the house the police found two girls who had been with the fugitives, and who were wearing the uniform of a Maputo city secondary school. The two are among four people currently under police custody, through it is far from clear what crime the girls are supposed to have committed.
Goods found inside the house were also seized by the police, and journalists questioned the legality of this. It was reported that, instead of chasing the fleeing criminals, the police began to move goods such as computers and plasma TV sets out of the house.
Reporters from two different media, including the respected independent television station STV, who witnessed the raid, testified to this police behaviour.
Cossa denied what the journalists had seen with their own eyes, and declared “It can’t be true. It’s not in our report”.
