I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Harare – A Glen View 1 man in Harare killed his wife after brutally striking her three times on the head with an axe before taking his own life by drinking a cotton pesticide.
Tamuka Marodza (age not given) allegedly struck his wife Erica Gutu (31), a Harare municipal nurse in a chilling murder at their residence after an argument over sharing of property last Friday morning.
The two were on separation.
Harare Provincial Police spokesperson Inspector James Sabau, confirmed the brutal murder, adding that police were concerned with the increase in domestic violence related murder cases.
He said Marodza travelled to his rural home in Mt Darwin after allegedly committing the murder, where he drank a cotton pesticide called Phoenix 35EC.
“The two were on separation when the wife went to the husband’s house to discuss about sharing of their property.
“A dispute arose leading to Marodza striking her with an axe several times in the head,” Insp. Sabau said.
Insp Sabau said Marodza phoned his father, who is based in Rushinga and told him about the murder.
“He told his father that he was also going to take his life.
“His father drove from Rushinga to Mt Darwin and found Marodza battling for his life.
“When the police arrived at Marodza’s village, he was already dead,” he said.
When our news crew visited the late Erica’s parents in Glen View 1 last Saturday, there was a sombre atmosphere in the neighbourhood.
Municipal nurses in white garbs thronged the Gutu family as the news filtered in about the death.
Neighbours milled around the street corners discussing the incident.
Erica’s Father Mr Job Gutu said the two had a long-standing dispute, which he did not expect to lead to deaths.
He said on the fateful day, Marodza continuously phoned him as if everything was normal.
“I was expecting them at my workplace where I thought we were going to iron things out.
“But towards the end of the day, my daughter phoned me advising about the death,” said Mr Gutu.
Cases of crimes of passion are on the increase and police have urged people to refrain from resorting to murder to resolve disputes.
“Couples should find proper ways of resolving their disputes,” Insp Sabau said.
