IOL Sport: Fifa denies cheap tickets claim

I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

This may just be semantics, but Fifa says World Cup tickets will not be discounted.

At a press conference at Sun City yesterday, Fifa general secretary Jereme Valcke said they had “reconfigured’ tickets, moving them from categories 2 and 3 (expensive tickets) to category 4 – the cheapest tickets.

He said only 11 percent of tickets had been sold to South Africans, and Fifa’s target was 20 percent.

“We promised (former) president Thabo Mbeki at the time that we would sell 20 percent of tickets to South Africans,” said Valcke, adding that to attract more South Africans to the games, more category 4 tickets had to be available.

He said that even though Fifa had made this move, it would still make the $423-million (about R3,3-billion) it needed to cover its costs.

Valcke pointed out that Fifa would not be giving away free tickets to fill stadiums. Every ticket would be sold.

Valcke said he was at a meeting just two weeks ago, where he heard that fewer foreigners would be coming to South Africa than was originally expected.

“In my home country, France, I read that 15 million people earn less than e150 (about R1 500) a month. These people will watch the games at home on their TV. There is a crisis in the world.”

He added that airlines such as Emirates have had to cut their prices to get people to the World Cup. Valcke said the price for a ticket from New York had been slashed from $3 000 to $2 000.

“Suddenly there is an understanding that some of the costs are too expensive,” Valcke said, adding “We are still very positive.”

I knew they wer going to drop down prices, thats why i did not apply. I think SA’s must think a bit more – if we wnated to scare FIFA even – no one shouild have applie during 1 and 2nd ticket run – they would have dropped prices sooner. Did you think they did not plan-forecast for this eventuality. Stop complaining and use a bit more sense SA – we could have brought them to their knees earlier if we stand together – buit as usual there too much infighting-lamabasting going on by fellow citizens about crime, politicians. U get back what we give out-put in (positive or negative) – or the wheel always turns as they say- or negative karma attracts negative things, people! Get with it SA.

Havent we all be warned about the FIFA circus? I will not be part in this money making racket. They are just like the ANC – greedy for money money money

You should rather upgrade the tickets of those that bought first rather than rewarding those who paid later with better seats.

Those English and Germans who want to believe that SA is not ready to host the World Cup should rather stay at home. We will deliver the most successful World Cup and Mzansi and Africa will have a ball without them!!

I feel sorry for the people that paid thousands for full price tickets. Tickets will be given away, and not to people who paid the high prices for the rubbish teams and did not get tickets to the good matches.

Love their lies. It won’t be long before we hear our corrupt politicians say something like: We did not steal from the citizens of the country, we simply “reconfigured’ the tenders.

OK – the numbers are slowly revealed. This $423-million (about R3,3-billion) goes into FIFA’s vault, don’it!? Would be interesting to know how much will leave our shores, tax free, remember?

Not everyone in Africa are DUMB, FIFA. I think people should ignore the games to teach FIFA a bitter lesson, although to the detriment to SA’s economy. But then how much worse can it get, seeing most of the money are going into the BIG GUNS pockets. We do have pride in being Africans.

I wouldn’t believe anything these liars FIFA have to say. A bigger bunch of thieves in the world you will not find. And now that they are in bed with Mugabe’s family in Zim, you know what you are dealing with. Had I known that BEFORE I got my tickets, I would not have applied. These people are scum. Nonetheless I am off to see Italy vs Paraguay on the 14th. But they cost me R2200 – to see a freaking soccer match in my own home town.

Well please do explain if only 11 percent of tickets allocated for South African’s were sold (out of the 20%), when only 1 of the matches that I applied for I was awarded!! Needless to say, some of the friends that were hoping to go haven’t been able to because we could not get the tickets… lots of sense now isn’t it!!

Why are south Africans being denied tickets when there is a surplus? Overseas clubs will be returning plenty of unsold tickets soon, and they will probably be given away locally so the stadia appear full on TV.
