South Africa: Nabolisa to apply for bail

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Alleged Nigerian drug smuggler Frank Nabolisa will make his bid for bail tomorrow.

Nabolisa hit the headlines last month when he and Sheryl Cwele were arrested on drug trafficking allegations.

The two will meet again on October 11, for the start of their trial. Cwele is on R100 000 bail.

Cwele and Nabolisa face charges of dealing or conspiring to deal in drugs; procuring a woman, Charmaine Moss, to collect drugs in Turkey; and another, Tessa Beetge, to smuggle cocaine from South America.

In an affidavit filed to the court last week in support of his bail application, Nabolisa denied the allegations against him, but declined to disclose the basis of his defence.

Nabolisa said: “I am not a member of any syndicate dealing in drugs and I do not have a propensity to commit crime and have never committed any offences.”

Nabolisa claimed he entered South Africa 15 years ago on a refugee permit from Nigeria and was afforded citizenship in February 2004.

However, the state contends that Nabolisa contravened Home Affairs laws and regulations at least five times, according to the department’s assistant director, Willem Vorster.

Some of Nabolisa’s alleged contraventions, Vorster said, included:

  • obtaining an ID document with false particulars;
  • fraudulently obtaining South African citizenship; and
  • staying in South Africa by using a false ID document.
