I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Seven men fled with an undisclosed amount of money after they fired shots at a pension pay point in Grahamstown on Monday, Eastern Cape police said.

Captain Mali Govender said a security officer at the door of Noluthando Hall at Joza township was assisting an old man accompanied by a young man around 9.30 am. “It is alleged that he asked the young man to move aside, but the man pushed through and fired a shot. He then disarmed the guard, and six armed men showed up.”

Govender said the men demanded the officials open the money dispensers. The officials only had keys to two of the dispensers, and the robbers broke the third one.

“They took money from all three, fired several shots in the premises before fleeing in a Toyota Hilux bakkie. The car was later discovered in a nearby township where it was abandoned.”

Govender said police since discovered that the car was stolen from Port Elizabeth on Saturday. She said the robbers fled with three firearms belonging to the guards.

She said there were no arrests yet and no injuries reported. – Sapa
