UK: A clarion Call to the Church

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

A Clarion Call to the Church

A clarion call was issued forth to the Church in Britain at a meeting in London. The Annual Public Meeting of the United Protestant Council was held at St Johns Wood Baptist Church in London on Saturday 7th March.

The guest speaker was Dr Ted Williams.Dr ES Williams was Director of Public Health for Croydon Health Authority for many years. He is author of Lessons in Depravity and What is going on in Christian Crisis Pregnancy Counselling? He has published many research papers in medical journals.

The message was ‘The Erosion of Christian Values in Church and Nation’. The opening reading was from Genesis 2:17 – 3:15, the account of Adam, the creation of Eve from his rib, the covenant of marriage explained, the fall from grace and the prophesy of the seed.

Dr Williams opened with a brief but succinct explanation of how Britain once was a nation whose laws were based on biblical standards. A nation from which missionaries took the word of God across the world and a nation in which Bible societies flourished. He spoke of the declension in the church and the rise of Secular Humanism with the consequent impact on British society up to now.

Essentially the message of secular humaisn is to exalt man over God and to eliminate religious thinking (Christianity). The result of this is a nation fallen away from God and doing what is right in their own sight.

Dr Williams mentioned well known names as the secular humanists leading evangelists in their crusade against Christ.

He drew the simple picture of what Satan’s strategies are in the war against God, and how exactly the aims of secular humanists are of the exact same ideology. Dr Williams said, ‘It is a highly aggressive ideology intent on stamping out Christianity.’ He gave well known examples of Christians in recent years who have suffered persecution, arrest and loss of jobs at the hands of various branches of this ideology.

Dr Williams laid out five pillars of secular humanism. One – Atheism. The whole role of humanists is the denial of the deity of Christ and a complete dismissal of the holy scripture as fable.

Two – Evolution. This unproven theory is propagated as fact in schools, universities and the media. It is used to try to destroy the word of God held in the first three chapters of scripture and that many churches have compromised on this issue and have developed a ‘theistic evolution’.

Three – Marriage and the Family. Interesting statistics were given on how in the 19th century there was almost no divorce at all. Divorce was up to 150 000 per year by the end of the 20th century. A huge social change has resulted. Some 44% of children today are not in homes where the parents are married. Secular marriage, civil partnership and co-habitation is now accepted and the fathers’ role in families is now seen as irrelevant. Dr Williams said that this all constituted a huge attack on the Divine institution of marriage. One by product is a dwindling fertility rate in women, with British women producing less than the replacement level. By contrast, Dr Williams gave the figure of the increase in Muslims in Britain of half a million in the last four years.

Four – Abortion. Dr Williams gave the well known figures of this massacre of the unborn. ‘Effectively, Britain is aborting itself into oblivion’ he said. Yet the church remains silent. Even CARE offers counselling to women on which option they should choose – not that abortion is wrong.

Five – Sex Education. This was started in 1960 and by 1974 contraceptives were being supplied to children free of charge. Dr Williams spoke on several points here including that the sex education now given is amoral, explicit in language and promotes bisexuality as the norm. Again he asked, “Where is the church?”.

He also spoke about the pseudo science of psychology and how that has contributed immensely to humanism. The ideology behind it is found in school classrooms as the ‘norm’ of teaching. Additionally psychotherapy is now being used in mainstream churches such as the Baptist Union, the Methodist church and the Salvation Army.

Amazingly was the revelation of the open aim of the secular humanism is that “the battle for humankind’s future must be waged in the school classroom.” It is to be proselytised by teachers to produce a new religion to ‘replace the rotting corpse of Christianity’.

Dr Williams then gave the answer for the church. The greatest danger to the nation is a compromised church. It needs prophetic voice today, and needs courage and faith. In a sound statement of the power of God Dr Williams finished with the words “Secular humanism fears the sword of the word of God,” and that we must put on the armour of God.

The Chairman of the United Protestant Council, Pastor David Carson then finished the meeting with some well chosen comments such as the battle being lost by default by a compromised church, or silent Christians who use an ingenious series of excuses explain why they cannot make a stand for Christ.

This report cannot give justice to the huge importance of this address, suffice to say that I have ordered a dozen of the CDs for distribution at the church I attend.

Representatives (and their stands) from a number of organisations such as Christian Watch, Reformation Ireland, the Church Society and others were in attendance.

The CDs or tapes of the meeting can be ordered from Rev John Shearer – the honorary secretary of the UPC. Contact me for further details.
