Johannesburg – A 13-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Prieska in the Northern Cape after being accused of breaking into a house in the area.
Biron Phetlo was sitting with a friend on the stoep of a local grocery shop on Sunday when an older man approached them, said police spokesperson Captain Tony Modise on Monday.
The 55-year-old man accused Phetlo of breaking into a local house and an argument broke out.
The man used a sharp object to allegedly stab the boy in the chest, killing him almost instantly.
The man was arrested and would appear in the Prieska magistrate’s court on Tuesday.
