I spotted this interesting article in the Daily Mail & Guardian. A Police
Officer ran over a 12-year-old boy killing him and then immediately
killed himself. Judging by the area named in the article, it would seem
as if the boy was black. I am curious, considering the racial persecution
of the Police (being constantly told they are racist), whether this was a
white Police Officer. I am just curious as to whether this is a white
Police Officer who feared the persecution to follow and just decided to
kill himself on the spot. (Jan)
A JOHANNESBURG Metropolitan traffic officer committed suicide minutes
after he accidentally ran over and killed a 12-year-old boy in
Dobsonville, Soweto on Monday, police said. According to Superintendent
Norman Ponnusamy, the incident occurred at around 5.30pm when the
Midrand-based officer apparently lost control due to bad weather and hit
Tshepiso Serobatse who was seated with friends at a street corner,
killing him instantly. The officer, whose name was still withheld, then
drew his service pistol and shot himself dead. The other boys escaped
