[One of my Rhodesian friends sent this out to his mailing list. I concur… today was a great day, when Ian Smith made a stand against communism and the West’s continual retreat and appeasement of communists and terrorists. The fact that we failed is why Zimbabwe is the mess it is today. Look at them floundering around today. I still want to write a piece about why Zimbabwean politics is like ballroom dancing.
They flounder around, and dawdle and fiddle faddle and talk and talk and talk… while doing nothing… while the blacks starve and the blacks die… and the country goes to ruin. It is amazing to think this was once a fine little country, the size of France, growing and vibrant. But Rhodesia, despite its size and youth gave a good account of itself and gave the Russians and Chinese a much harder time than they ever expected.
The British did to Rhodesia what the Dutch did to the Boers. They made it their business to embrace communist filth, masquerading as “Liberation movements”, while abandoning their own descendents and their own family. They could not even stand up and assist their own descendents who fought for the same values that they supposedly had and who were more than willing to fight on behalf of the West.
Rhodesia, South West Africa, South Africa and Portugal stood in the gap and fought the communist filth which came and brought ruin to Africa from east to west and from north to south. Everywhere you now see ruin and war… you see blacks die by the millions from starvation and disease and you see nothing but war on the horizon almost everywhere in Africa. Africa is now starting to break apart. The nations they inherited are starting to crack. The DRC will NEVER be a whole country again. And maybe Nigeria and South Africa will follow that route too before long.
It is a far cry from the peace and prosperity and tremendous growth which made the communists so keen to get their hands on it… We whites may have failed, but rest assured, that for every 1 of us who died, a hundred thousand blacks either have or will yet die. We have nothing to be ashamed of.
We said that the communists were lying filth who had no desire to bring FREEDOM to the BLACKS! We WERE RIGHT AND WE STILL ARE RIGHT. Today in 2008, Robert Mugabe ignores his loss at the polls. He clings to power illegally. He actively and continually with connivance of professional moles like Mutambara and others in the ANC, works to deny the will of the masses. They work actively against that which they claimed was the very reason why the Whites had to leave. Hypocrits!
And in 2009, wait when everyone sees, to their complete amazement how DEMOCRACY and FREEDOM will be denied to blacks in South Africa by the ANC. The same ANC who crowed about the Whites and Apartheid will murder the blacks who no longer wish to support it.
We whites said the filth should be fought to the death and that they’re not bringing anything new to Africa which will help the blacks. And, 43 years later, WE ARE COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY VINDICATED! Jan]
